Dish soap colour: Dawn dish soap is blue and has been since it was first produced around 50 years ago. The colour is so heavily associated with the brand that the detergent is often called “Blue Dawn Dish Soap.” On the other hand, Fairy Liquid is traditionally green. Today, you can find yellow, orange, blue, and purple Fairy varieties. Pure Castile Soap has a sweet smelling natural fragrance with no added essential oils making a great starter soap or one for those with sensitive skin. It can also be scented naturally with essentials oils which are great for different uses such as Tea Tree for it's anti-bacterial properties and thus great for the kitchen. Liquid Castile Soap Recipe Needless to say, the formula and, more specifically, the ingredients that go into it are a lot more important. From Aqua and sodium lauryl sulfate to coco-glucoside, Cocamidopropyl betaine, and the usual alcohol denat, there's a lot that goes into this substance. Since you can always find the ingredients on the label or in the spreadsheet above, we won't be listing them all. But we would like to highlight the limonene (capable of producing an allergic reaction, so make sure to be careful with it), linalool , and the colourant that give the solution its look and smell. Dawn can cut through grease: Dawn is great at cutting through grease. The leaves of all plants have a wax-like layer called the waxy cuticle. This layer regulates how much water exits the plant through the leaves. If you remove the waxy layer, plants will lose water fast. Don't care for the smell? That's fine too. Fairy Original is available in a wide range of scents, including Apple, Lime, Lemon, and perfume-free for those who really don't care for any of these smells. The price is always fair and their detergents always give you the cleaning power you can count on. More often than not, it will last up to 50% longer than the next best-selling brand in its price range. With every drop, this dish soap gives you nice, long-lasting suds and lots of bubbles. The only area where it slightly disappoints is the bottle. Well, not the bottle itself, more so the fact that it isn't filled all the way up, creating an impression that the customer is getting slightly ripped off, even though the amount of liquid soap inside matches the promised volume.

Soft scrub cleaner: 3/4 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup Castile soap, 1tbsp water, optional 10-15 drops of essential oil such as Tea Tree. The only real issue we have with this soap is that it doesn't really foam all that well. Then again, given how effective it is, it doesn't really have to. It is known for its effectiveness in cutting through grease and removing tough food residues from dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items. In fact, it’s the go-to dish soap for many people globally. Ecover Chamomilla, as you can probably infer from the name, has a nice chamomile smell to it with a slight but noticeable hint of clementine thanks to the chamomile and clementine extracts respectively. Generally speaking, we like our detergents fragrance-free but we're willing to make an exception here since the smell is just absolutely lovely.
