Strong to the core: its construction has been hard anodised to create efficient heat conduction and distribution for even cooking. This pan comes in two sizes—10 inches and 12 inches—as well as two colors, gray and white, both of which have a wooden handle that stays cool while you're cooking. Because of said wooden handle, though, this pan is not dishwasher safe, and it's only oven safe up to 302 degrees Fahrenheit. Customers report that you'll need to attach the handle yourself before you cook with this pan, but SENSARTE includes a screwdriver in the box to make that process a cinch.

Consider how you’ll be using this pan. If you just want to use it to make crêpes and pancakes, you can go for a smaller size (around the 24cm mark). However, if you want this to double up as a fryer, go for a larger diameter. Lasts for longer: Our pans are abrasion-resistant, crafted to stay in your kitchen for years to come. Never slide the product on any glass-topped hob/stove top, as this may cause damage to the product base and the glass. Instead, always lift the product on and off, or across the surface.

Cooking on a medium or low heat gets the best results — even for frying and searing. Let the product heat up gradually for great tasting food that’s cooked evenly. If you do need to use a higher heat, lower the setting once the desired heat has been reached. With its gentle price and sturdy construction, this crêpe pan from Lodge is designed to last a lifetime (and then some). The cast-iron pan multitasks like a champion, removing the “I don’t want a tool in my kitchen that can only do one thing” dilemma that many apartment-dwellers and others with small kitchens and/or limited storage space face.

For fat-free cooking, preheat your product on medium heat for around 2 minutes. Then go ahead and add your food. Use the product on the most appropriately sized hob ring — it’ll make your food cook more evenly, and reduce the risk of damage to the handles and sides. This is especially important on induction hobs: if you use the wrong-sized ring, there’s a risk the hob won't ‘recognise’ the product. Best in class: our products are crafted from the finest materials in facilities around the world, ensuring the quality you expect from Le Creuset.Cooking ingredients with a low smoking point at higher temperatures can cause staining to the cooking surface. The versatile Lodge Cast Iron Griddle Pan is very affordable and might become one of your go-to pieces of cookware. If you’re looking for stylish cookware that will last for decades, we love the Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron Crêpe Pan. How We Selected Even still, our first four or five crepes gave us problems. Part of that was due to the fact that we’d never used a pastry spreader before; we found that our crepes were getting cooked before we could spread the batter fully. We then turned down the heat to medium-low, but it took awhile for the pan to cool. Crêpe pans may be specifically designed for crêpes, but they can also be used to make plenty of other flatbreads or pastries, such as pancakes, tortillas, dosas, and naan. Since crêpe pans have flat surfaces with even heat distribution, they can also double as griddles, so they’re ideal for searing steaks, cooking burgers, and even making eggs. We recommend using Le Creuset Silicone Tools or wooden/heat-resistant plastic tools. Metal utensils may be used with care but they should not be used harshly or scraped over the cooking surface as this may cause damage

Never place your product on the floor of your oven – it can increase the cooking temperature, leading to faster, uncontrolled cooking which could cause damage. This versatile pan is perfect for pancakes and crêpes, but it can also be used for vegetables, tortillas and sandwiches, with its shallow edges allowing you to easily maneuver your ingredients,” explains Aysegul Sanford, a Lodge fan and food blogger of Foolproof Living. The thin cast iron doesn’t distribute heat very evenly—the areas where the pan overlapped with the burner were much hotter. If you’ll be using this pan frequently, opting for a material like reinforced cast metal should ensure longevity.

For induction hob cooking, avoid using the ‘boost’ function as it should only be used for rapid heating large volumes of water.
