LOS ANGELES, February 16, 2022) – Seven Seas Entertainment is excited to announce the license acquisition of the manga series MoMo -the blood taker- by Akira Sugito, a hardboiled and supernatural murder mystery from the creator of Boku Girl!

This manga WILL without a doubt succumb to power creep. Now they're talking about something where there's like 4 different people who are just as bad as the old bad guy but we're just never mentioned before. And apparently there are other vampire organisations that don't follow the vampire king that were mentioned once but never again. Stars rounding up for the sections I really liked. This manga wanders from scene to scene and even from serious to comedic, and none of that is done terribly well in transition, however, a ton of stuff happens and is revealed, so I'll go with Gripes and Likes for this review. Hier gar nicht der Fall. Ihre Kleidung ist ein wenig...auffällig, aber ansonsten konzentriert sich die Handlung auf Keigos (der Ermittler) Charakter, seine Vorgeschichte und die Morde. ok. this was definitely interesting but also weird. i liked the vampire and supernatural vibes because i LOVE vampires. compared with a police officer and unsolved murder cases? the concept sounds so so good, and i was extremely curious. After thinking about it further. I think this author is only good at making likeable characters and knows how to make good action sequences. Story is as simple as it gets, which isn't bad in itself. It's fine to start simple as long as you evolve somewhat. This manga just doesn't evolve. I loved almost everything about it, except for the loli trope. It really disgusts me that someone who looks like a 12-year-old is depicted as sexy, even though she's technically a vampire and over a 100 years old... I wish we could stop with this shit! While on the oriel for the two-faced vampire, Mikogami happens to catch attention of an unexpected girl. Silver-haired and childlike, she stands out.

Unlike the previous work that depicted school life, this film depicts the story of a detective who became a vampire while chasing a serial killer, and it is hard-boiled and has a dark sensibility. I’ll admit that it seems to be trying too hard to be edgy. But, that’s something that could mellow out. What is the identity of the silver-haire...... We're now going into a second arc where all character “motivations” are completed and it's just boring. It's much akin to ending a game in an mmo. They're just doing side quests when able to one tap everything.

When Mikogami finds himself in a bind, this girl—Momo—saves his life. In doing so, though, Mikogami finds his life…transformed. While her design is certainly cool, she is depicted as a very young girl—which is problematic considering her character comes onto a middle-aged male character. It’s wholly unnecessary and wholly inappropriate on so many levels. Likes: after the awkward beginning, I *loved* the moment Mikogami got serious. Like, that aspect alone would've been so cool. Almost Hellsing like. I actually felt like Momo's entrance ruined a perfectly good story. Mikogami, Vampire Hunter, is a book I'd read in a heartbeat. Next - the vampires are interesting and leave behind particularly gruesome scenes. I love the character design for the vampire Mikogami is after and the serial killer nature of the "calling card." Then - Momo is a bit derivative as a character and the child body is...misused... But when she's not being used for comedic relief, she speaks like someone older and with experience, and she's got good fighting skills. She's the title character, and probably this book's biggest weakness, but she's got promise to make this very interesting as Mikogami's future develops. And finally - the story itself is fast paced with twists and graphic crime scenes with great art, and the character interaction at the end is intriguing. To be honest, I’m a little underwhelmed by the momentum of the series but I do think the core plot is pretty engaging and the main characters are well-designed and come with threads of motivation that can be woven together into a coherent narrative. Mikogami Keiji, a detective who also wants revenge for his lover, killed 10 years ago, pursues the culprit, the “Man with two faces”.
