Now with my glaze of Pallid Wych Flesh ready, I go over the raised muscle of the skin to make it stand out against the rest of the flesh, but not enough to make it too much of a bright white color to overwhelm the Rakarth Flesh. I’ve used enough different brands now to know a good paint from a frustrating one. I had no issues with any of these paints. In fact, I enjoyed painting with every single bottle. That’s it for now! Stay tuned for further articles covering other exciting models for Marvel Crisis Protocol! Additional Photos: Now, I’m coming at them from a primarily Warhammer angle. The Warhammer games are what got me into miniature painting and are still the largest Miniature Wargames company in the world. So when I’m looking at Reaper, I’m only looking at them for their paints and what they do. Well, now I can tell you, they do pretty much everything you want them to do, and they do it well. Reaper Miniatures Master Series Paints – Overview

In our How to Paint Everything series, we look at how to paint well, everything! We look at different models and techniques and have multiple approaches to specific models. In today’s article, we’re looking at how to paint some of the terrain in Marvel Crisis Protocol, starting with terrain found in the Core Box (CP01) set! One of the things I learned during this new painting course was underpainting with an airbrush. The general approach is to apply colours and specific nuances to a model. then as you glaze over these areas with a single colour, the colours beneath react with this glazed coat to vary the final layer. Necrons: The Necrons are an ancient robotic race that feature a lot of metallic green in their color scheme. Dark Reaper paint is perfect for painting the main body of the Necrons’ armor and vehicles, giving them a deep and rich look. It can also be used to paint the details and weathering on their armor, giving them a realistic and weathered look. GW's new range matches with the old range are the matches claimed by GW. However, many of the paints do not match very closely at all and some mixing will be required to get close to the original colours. If you are trying to match old GW with new GW, you'd be better just getting Vallejo game color or coat d'arms for the closest match ) So only Dark Reaper and Mechanicus Standard Grey are close, but still visually distinguishable. All the rest are poor to bad. What the sheet is saying in these cases is that there is no close match in the two ranges. So you gave three cases of double "matches" but for most of those they aren't actually matches, just as close as the ranges could get.For my Drukhari, I wanted to make clear that these are three separate subfactions who cooperate, and that they aren’t really a single army. To that end, I chose some color schemes that stand out next to one another, but have a coherent threat that joins them together. http://www.ttfxmedia.com/vallejo/cgi-bin/_modelis_info.asp?p1=ing&p2=modelcolor&p3=1#modelcolorinfo

I also think that many people think that thinner paint right from the bottle is a indicator for lower quality. A-And to be fair: this is not too much of a unreasonable assumption. MSP is a little thinner, and maybe that’s why it gets thrown under the bus by some. The steel is a new recipe for me using Scale 75 Eclipse Grey > Scale 75 Anthracite Grey > Scale 75 Behring Blue > GW Fenrisian Grey > Scale 75 White Wash the red armor bits with about 40% Agrax, 60% Lahmian Medium, then touch up any pooling marks with Mephiston Red Paint the doors, sign, awning and roof with Caliban Green. Paint the ribs of the awning with Rakarth Flesh. VAMPIRIC MIST: A pale grey with an indigo cast, this is a fantastic highlight for light medium and light greys if you want something more interesting than just white. Would also be a good highlight for vampiric skin! The triads themselves (mostly) share Similar names, the flesh tones follow a naming convention. even some of the blues with their Deep Ocean, Marine Teal & Surf Aqua have a water theme. It’s a helpful little nudge that saves you having to remember exactly what colours work with what shade or highlight. If anyone is familiar enough with traditional artist colors, I would greatly appreciate your help converting my palete. Purity Seals – Wash with Agrax Earthshade. Highlight with Wazdakka Red and Ushabti Bone. Add lines of writing in Eshin Grey.

Graveyard Earth: Uniform Brown 9127 is close, as is a 50/50 mix of 9161 Shield Brown and 9162 Driftwood Brown (though the latter is a little more grey) The gold is the same as I’ve used in countless of these HTPEs, Rhinox Hide > Mournfang Brown > XV-88 > Balor Brown > Zamesi Desert > Dorn Yellow Apply another highlight using Thunderhawk Blue, but this time concentrate on the top edges of the panels. Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error All the paintings are carefully designed by our own designers. Dark Color follows the trend to update the most popular pictures daily to make you catch the trend timely.SKELETON KEY: A good start for any tarnished silver metal or armor; highlight with 09454 Mithril Silver. Also could be good to suggest *magical* steel where you want it to look just a little different.

CURSED GOLD: Fantastic for exactly what its name says; highlight with 09450 Dragon Gold. Also good for the rich gold on Egyptian-themed models, and as a darker, more moody gold for evil minis where you do not want something really bright. Paint the Red, Amber, Green traffic lights with Baal Red, Dorn Yellow and Warp Lightning, respectively. I did notice that a good few of the spouts came fully sealed and needed to be pierced with a pin before use. I prefer sealed spouts as it stops air getting into the bottle whilst in storage so if I don’t come to use one for a long time it should still be well protected. I’m not sure if this was on purpose or just a moulding error on some of them. It wasn’t an issue just an observation of inconsistency. Tints and Shades

Greetings, True Believers! Marvel Crisis Protocol (MCP) has entered a golden age, with well-balanced rules (that are available online for free) and over 120 characters available from the Marvel universe (and growing)! If you need a break from other games with too many models, MCP is a nice variation – with only a few characters required for a game and a relatively minimal amount of terrain. And what terrain there is! http://www.wargamesfoundry.com - also do a range of similar to Citadel paints, will update when can get chance. This special Dungeon Dwellers: Monster Colors paint set includes six all-new half-ounce (.5 oz) bottles of Reaper Master Series Bones Paints. These high-coverage paints work perfectly on metal, resin, or plastic models. Perfect for beginning and advanced painters! Airbrush wise these paints worked absolutely perfectly, with only a touch of Vallejo Airbrush Thinner for every 4-5 drops of MSP gave a really nice airbrush consistency. The dropper bottles are a bit smaller than the standard 17ml that vallejo/army painter/scale/andrea/proacryl/AK interactive/Greenstuffworld (etc) use. they are 0.5 once, which equates to around 15ml. this is not a negative, just something to be aware of.
