I get that part of this book is body positivity and the h is a curvy girl but when the author needs to remind her readers that the h is a curvy girl for the 100th time and the h's whole personality is her weight it starts to get tiring and annoying!! and don't get me started on the whole storyline with the H's career bc that was one of the most absurd things i've read. Mmm,” he hums her name, touching her face as gently as he can. “You almost got it. One day I’ll get to hear you say my name. You’ll have to make sure your daddy records it for me when you do.” He looks right at her, his icy blues boring into her, and there’s absolutely no misunderstanding when he says, “Mmm…Mama.” Miller’s face falls. “What did you say?” old “they lived happily ever after”. But no, we needed to know what Prada present Zanders got for a 1 y/o. kai is the starting pitcher for chicago’s MLB team (baseball), but being the starting pitch for the team is hard for kai, especially because he’s raising his son max too. being there for his son has always been kai’s first priority, therefore he keeps firing all his son’s nannies. the teams coach monty is tired of kai firing every nanny within 2 weeks, so he gives kai a nanny he can’t just fire, his own daughter miller who just came to chicago for the summer, because she needed a break from her job.

I’m honestly obsessed with this book and this series as a whole. I have a feeling who the 4th book will be about (confirmed that Rio will be the 5th) and I’m stoked to keep reading about these characters. This is one of those books that I know I’ll find myself rereading time and time again! If you're as terrible of a listener in the bedroom as you are in real life, Miller, I can promise you this, you wouldn't be allowed to come." this cute moment and detail about Rayan and Indy’s weeding when they shared their vows got me literally sobbing. This is the best book I’ve ever read!!! I’m sobbing in my bed at 9 pm because one, I’ll never experience reading this book for the first time again, and two I’ll probably never experience the love shared between Zee and Vee. If I’m Romeo, this book is my Juliet and now that it’s over I’m experiencing withdrawals. SEND HELP!!I liked Stevie, she was portrayed as normal girl with flaws and I could relate to her in a lot of ways. Our hero Zander, I didn't like him a bit at the beginning of the book, but then, despite having a few ups and downs, I loved him. There’s SO MUCH to love about this, but it was the playful banter that really won me over at the start. It’s a very long book by a new-to-me author, so I knew that it’d need to have a strong start to have any chance of holding my interest – and it definitely did. While Zanders’ personality wasn’t immediately likable, I could tell that there was something intriguing lurking underneath the surface. I was also drawn in by the instant chemistry between these two, the way Stevie kept Zanders on his toes, and how he just couldn’t seem to stop himself from getting closer. It’s an instant attraction but not instalove, which made the relationship feel more hard won and richer. They really do take their time to build up a strong emotional connection, and that was one of the best parts of the book. I was also hooked on both characters – the infuriatingly arrogant (yet immensely appealing) Zanders and the strong, fierce Stevie, who battles insecurities about her curvy figure. Watching Zanders support Stevie and make her love herself right along with him was so very fulfilling, and one of the (many) reasons why it was so easy to fall for this couple. It was a fantastic first experience with this new author, and it’s got me incredibly excited to read more from the series. I loved it! i don’t understand why the opening scene of the female protagonist’s point of view was about how she got harassed at her workplace and then why another female —kennedy— (working with the baseball team) had the exact same treatment with being sexualized in her work environment EVERYDAY by the mmc’s brother —Isaiah— -should act like it’s simple playfulness. the double standard is standarding. he gets “better” (less insufferable) after a few chapters, which is obviously predictable so i don’t know why i’m saying this. and, even though i’m not Zander’s biggest fan, i can admit that there was a few nice things about his character: Stevie Shay is working as a flight attendant, and when her new job lands her onboard working for the egotistical, diva in the NHL, also named Evan Zanders. She has promised herself that she’d never hook up with an athlete again, no matter how tempting he might be.

I’m happy to say that I very much loved this book. I connected to the characters right away, felt like they were fully formed and complex, I loved their banter, their chemistry, I loved the build up and the way the whole story developed - I really think it was done very well and I had a great time reading it.Tbh I had really low expectations for this book. Mile High and The Right Move had fun characters and some cute moments but I wasn’t super impressed with the overall writing quality. Also, I really went into this thinking who tf is Kai and why should I care about this man?????

First up we have Kai Rhodes, the starting pitcher for the Chicago MLB team. The Clark Kent hype is REAL!!! I am obsessed. Now now, before everything I want to clarify Evan Zanders and Ryan Shay are still top tier not even joking but Kai Rhodes has just joined the list people. I mean the way he cares for Max is everything and the protectiveness is so yummy I legit gobbled it all up!! Obsessed, obsessed, obsessed!! You don’t have a kid. You have a baby.” Indy’s tone switches to soft and sweet, her smile beaming as she looks through Kai’s phone. “Yeah,” he sighs. “And he’s looking for a mom.” Also, I feel like there needed to be a few more specific scenes between Miller and Kai. There was a lot of internal monologuing and not as many real intimate moments as I think there needed to be to really feel the connection between them.

I had the biggest smile plastered on my face the moment that the other couples appeared from the previous books. I ate up the moments that we got more of Ryan and Indy. I loved the moments with Rio and his humor. We do meet some new side chatacters. Monty, who is Miller's dad, I loved this man, and he deserves the world and his own happy ending in a book. We also met Isiah, who is Kai's younger brother and Kennedy, one of the teams trainers. I didn't care much for Isaiah with how he treats her. He sexually harasses her, and it's portrayed as being okay and is most definitely not. Then there is Max, who is the cutest little boy, and I adored every minute we got with him. He was a little show stealer that also stole my heart. The found family that is portrayed with not just Kai, Max and Miller but with all the previous couples, the new characters, and the entirety of the baseball team was so beautiful and I was living for it! Nah, I’m still enjoying it,” I tell him honestly. “I gotta get that renewed contract by the end of the season, so until then, we have to keep it going.”
