Fitbit claims that the Fitbit Charge 2 offers up to five days of battery life, and while we didn’t get quite that much when reviewing it, we were making extensive use of all its features. Plug the charging cable that came with your Fitbit device into a USB port on your computer, a safety-certified USB wall charger, or other safety-certified, low-energy power source. Attach the other end of the cable to your device. Charging your device to 100% may take 1-2 hours.​

Sync Charge 2 from app by selecting Account in top-left > choose Charge 2 > select Sync Now or All Day Sync. The Fitbit Charge 3 has all that but also adds to and improves on it. For example, it’s waterproof to 50 meters, so you can take it swimming, while the Fitbit Charge 2 is just splash-proof.A factory reset will erase all your data, returning your Fitbit Charge 2 to its original state, but a regular reset will not. The Fitbit Charge 2 remains a decent device as well though, so if you don’t need the new features and can find that for substantially cheaper it too could be a good choice. Reminders to Move: Enabling this feature will cause your Fitbit to notify you if you haven't reached 250 steps by 10 minutes to the hour. While Flyer charges, the LED changes color depending on the current charge level. Use the following table to determine the current battery level when Flyer is plugged into the charger: LEDcolor It has all the same core features but with lots of newer and better ones too, notably the likes of swim-proofing and longer battery life have been added. Restarting a Fitbit Charge 2 will fix most issues, but in some cases, you might need to go a step further and perform a factory reset. Main Goal: This setting allows you to choose your primary fitness goal, including steps, distance, calories, active minutes, or floors climbed. Charge the Charge 2 > open Fitbit app and select Account> Set up a Device> enter PIN from Charge 2 into app. That said, the screen is still relatively small and it's not color, but it is an OLED display, so all the information the Charge 2 delivers is easy to read – plus it's a touchscreen, which is a first for the Charge range. We didn't always want to wear it to bed, as Fitbit suggests you'll want to, but it feels secure on your wrist and isn't going to become irritating; it's also comfortable to wear when you're typing at a desk, so you won't necessarily need to take it off when you're at work.Notifications: You can set up the Fitbit Notifications feature, which mirrors some of your phone's notifications on your Charge 2. Make sure there are no metal objects, such as jewelry, nearby as your device charges. After your device is charged, unplug the charging cable.
