The astrosaurs race to a world where two dino-tribes are on the verge of war. A group of monster-sized birds have come to help too. But Teggs is suspicious. Are these terror-birds friends or foes? Teggs is taking some desperate dinosaurs and their only eggs to begin a new life on a remote planet. But the planet is not what it seems, and some nasty egg-eating oviraptors are hot on their tail . . . The Top 25 Christmas Cookbooks for 2023: A Smorgasbord of Inspiration for a Happy Foodie This Christmas Do you know children hooked on Beast Quest?Have they devoured the series and struggle to figure out what to read next? Maybe they're just looking for a new obsession. Whatever the case, we have ideas about what they might enjoy next - and share some of your recommendations too.

Gipsy Saurine, a Corythosaurus from the planet Corythos, is the communications officer on board the DSS Sauropod. She is the only female member of the crew, and at 21 is also the youngest (excluding Sprite). She speaks almost every dinosaur language, which is immeasurably helpful on the crew's missions. On more than one occasion, she and Teggs have shown affection toward each other. The Astrosaurs books imagine just that - following the adventures of Captain Teggs Stegosaur and the crew of spaceship DSS Sauropod, as they try to police the Jurassic Quadrant. Captain Teggs and the Astrosaurs fight evil across the galaxy, coming up against monsters, rogue dinosaurs and, of course, keeping the carnivores and herbivores apart. A huge monster is on the loose in the seas of Aqua Minor, and the astrosaurs are sent to investigate. Teggs and the gang travel to the depths of the ocean, where the unexpected danger lies in wait . . . Iggadoo Tooth (or "Iggy"), an Iguanodon from the planet Iguanos, is the chief engineer on the DSS Sauropod. As well as being a brilliant mechanic, Iggy has thumb spikes and stun claws on his battle armour making him a doughty fighter. He is the second-oldest, of 26. Also a good friend of Arx. His favourite weapons are his trusty stun claws. His brother Wimvis is also a mechanic. Taking a gentle shift a little bit sideways, try A. F. Harrold's Greta Zargo books, starting with Death Robots from Outer Space, which is out now (the second book in the series will be released in May).Illustrated by Joe Todd-Stanton, it's brilliant - and very funny too. For older Beast Quest fans who have lost their reading ways

Elsewhere, @padstowbooks revealed that Pamela Butchart's To Wee or Not To Weeand Tom McLaughlin's The Day That Aliens Nearly Ate Our Brains are popular choices with their customers, while @writing1to6 recommended the Rover series by Roddy Doyle. This series gets many young children who have recently learned to read totally hooked on books, so let us rejoice in Beast Quest while the sun shines. But how to keep the fire burning? For young Beast Quest lovers who need to diversify How can a world full of dino-birds forget how to fly? The astrosaurs uncover a deadly secret in the skies above Skwark Major where Teggs must battle for his life . . . The astrosaurs are sent to the planet Creepus, where diplodocus miners are being haunted by mysterious space ghosts! What do the spooky spirits want? And what will happen to Teggs when he falls into their clutches? The series is set in a distant future, where dinosaurs have evolved to become intelligent and have mastered space travel. The heroes of the series are a group of astrosaurs, led by Captain Teggs Stegosaur, who works for the Dinosaur Space Service (DSS), an organization responsible for keeping the peace in the galaxy. The astrosaurs travel through space in their spaceship, the Sauropod, battling evil and protecting the innocent.

Eat, Drink, and Be Merry: The Ultimate Guide to Celebrating Christmas with the Best Drinks Books On The Shelves The first four books in the Astrosaurs series - Riddle of the Raptors, The Hatching Horror, The Seas of Doom , and The Mind-Swap Menace - were published in the USA, but these editions had minor grammar changes, changed minor details, relaced English slang (i.e, Arx is gray instead of green, color vs. colour) and did not include any trading cards. There's lots of fighting but also much more besides in Brian Jacques' Redwallseries; there are 23 titles, including sequels and prequels, to enjoy. The stories star woodland animals in a slightly Medieval-esque setting, from brave mice warriors to the horrible giant adder Asmodeus Poisonteeth.

Since 2010, all of the first sixteen books have recieved a new edition with new cover art. From The Robot Raiders onwards, all of the books have only been released in the new-style cover art. Each book in the series is a self-contained adventure, with the astrosaurs facing a new threat in each instalment. The threats they face range from rogue asteroids to evil alien races, and the astrosaurs use their unique skills and abilities to overcome each challenge. Captain Teggs is a skilled strategist and tactician, while his crew includes characters like Arx Orano, the sauropod engineer, and Gipsy Saurine, the team's tough-as-nails pilot. And then you have the Sea Quest series to devour, starring Max, Lia and the Robobeasts, plus Team Hero. In fact, Beast Quest goes beyond books - it's a whole world including collectible cards, and many primary school playgrounds ring to the sound of, 'Let's play Beast Quest!' Whisper it, but Beast Quest is now also a console game. The series currently consists of 22 books, each of which tells a standalone story set in the Astrosaurs universe. The first book in the series, Riddle of the Raptors, was published in 2005, and since then, the series has gone on to become a firm favourite with children and parents alike. The books are filled with exciting adventures, high-stakes action, and plenty of humour, making them a perfect choice for young readers who enjoy science fiction and fantasy.
