I am so happy with this easel! I use it to stand completed jigsaw puzzles on to photograph for my jigsaw group and it works so much better for a good photo than trying to get the photo right lying flat on the table. I also use it to stand up my crochet and cross-stitch patterns. Well constructed, no rough edges, the clasps and hinges seem robust enough although care should be taken when opening and closing to keep from damaging the hardware. I like this easel so much I will likely buy the upgraded one now (deeper drawer and some other improvements). I am so happy with this easel! If you’re starting out, choosing an easel should be based on the type of painting you want to create. If you’re going for a big canvas, then a bigger easel is what you’ll need, or if you just want to create a small painting, then a small easel will work. The short answer is no. Unless you want to become a professional artist, you only need to invest in expensive supplies if you need to. There are plenty of paints, brushes and pencils that won't cost you the earth but will still allow you to create your very own masterpieces. Choosing the right canvas can make a big difference to your next painting. That's why we've pulled together a list of questions and answers to help make sure that you buy the right one. Whether you enjoy drawing and sketching, painting with watercolours, with acrylics, using oil pastels or mixing all these techniques together, you can create beautiful works of art.

Looking to find the perfect art supplies for your next project? We've pulled together a few FAQs that should help you to choose. Easels typically fall into one of two categories - Outdoor and Portable Easels or Indoor and Studio Easels. Outdoor Easels include things like Box Easels, Sketching Field Easels and Porchade Boxes, whereas Studio Easels are typically Table Easels and Radial Easels. For a young artist or beginner, starting with a few basic art supplies is essential. Consider getting a sketchbook or drawing pad, a set of graphite pencils of various hardness, erasers, and a set of coloured pencils or markers for adding colour. A beginner-friendly paint set with brushes, watercolour paper, and a palette can also be a great addition. Every artist needs the right easel, but knowing which one is right for you can be a challenge. We’ve gathered a few questions to help you decide on the best easel.
