In December 2021, it was announced that Waid would be writing a new ongoing for DC entitled Batman/Superman: World's Finest, with Dan Mora serving as artist and beginning publication in March 2022. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. First up is Kid Flash's Year One, followed up by an Aquaman appearance and a revamp of Abra Kadabra. After his devastating battle with Professor Zoom and the Zero Hour event, Wally West must get his life back on track with the help of Nightwing and Starfire, only to be charged with criminal negligence after thwarting Heatwave’s Christmas crime spree.

The first comic is The Flash Special, a celebration of the multi-generational look at the three Flashes (Jay Garrick, Barry Allen, and Wally West). It is just fun to go back in time, so to speak, and read a collection from the 1990s, even with the occasional cringe-worthy moment (oh, Golden Glider. If you want to read about the Wally West incarnation of The Flash I guess you could start at the beginning with Mike Baron but is not that necessary. Should I just wait till September for Waids run to come out, or is a better alternative to read Johns Vol. He's standing in front of a similar cabinet, hearing from the Flash how his accident happened, and bam, same thing!

Written by Mark Waid and drawn by Paul Azaceta, the two-part opening mixed the real-world drama of the economic meltdown with some Spidey action. He quickly begins to train Bart in the ways of "speed" so that he will be ready to take over for him in the event of his death. Waid's fellow comics creators Neil Gaiman, Kurt Busiek, Dan Slott and Yanick Paquette contributed to his campaign, while artist Ethan Van Sciver began a similar campaign for Meyer which quickly surpassed Waid's in funding. Waid's run is one of the best comics runs in 90's era comics and I can't wait to re-read the rest of it again.

The first story has a far future Flash traveling back in time to gather past Flashes (Jay Garrick the Golden Age Flash, Barry Allen, the Silver Age Flash, and Wally West) to help against a world-ending disaster in the far future.

The best parts of this arc though, was watching Wally travel across the future on his way back home. The end of this book sees him square of against the Rogues who are powered up by Neron and have taken over the city in his absence. Tying these three together is the story of John Fox, a historian from the 27th Century who is attempting to stop a villain in his time period whose origins connect to each of the Flashes of the past. In this volume it is a collected from the series Born to Run and added with two annuals, one special and a few more issues of The Flash. You should definitely read William Messner-Loebs' run before Waid's though, it creates many of the developments that Waid would work on later (although quite frankly, Messner-Loebs explored some of them in a much better way).In October 2018, Waid joined Humanoids Publishing as Director of Creative Development before being promoted to Publisher in February 2020. I understand that they form a part of the entire arc, but they simply don't work in tandem with the rest. He didn’t give him a huge presence like a Batman, but he’s still very toned and muscular and it works so well.

After he asks Johnny Quick for his speed formula, so that he can be fast enough to save "everyone", he literally moves so fast that time stands still.
