Description

There is definitely a lot more to Leda than even she is aware of. The vampires' reaction to her hair is weird, as well as her seeming immunity to angel compulsion. There's something hinky going on there. Do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will immediately provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? According to Scripture, angels have various responsibilities and roles in God’s Kingdom. We are ultimately encouraged by the knowledge that God’s angels are at work. There are also circumstances where angels may even visit us. God, who is responsible for creating the angels has also promised us His presence in the face of life’s storms. With no magical powers of her own and no way to find him, Leda’s only option is to go to New York and join the Legion of Angels, an elite unit of supernatural soldiers with powers gifted to them by the gods themselves. If she can survive long enough to make it up the ranks, she will gain the magic she needs to find her brother. I don't like Leda calls others Legion brats when she herself behaves like a brat all the time. Smart mouth is fine but I liked her better when she keeps quiet.

An amazing example of this is found in Mark 5:9, where the Bible tells us that the demon-possessed man of the Gadarenes had a legion of demons. That means this man had an infestation of at least 6,000 demons residing inside him! The emotional tone of the book is flat as a pane of smooth glass, no ups and downs. No Ella, if girl's brother gets kidnapped and then she witnesses a ghastly death she's not likely to happily examine her new room at the hostel and make jokes! When your best friend nearly kills your... crush? Dunno but someone you're definitely attracted to, there is more fluff than "meh, off to the authorities we go" Or do you think that I am not able to call upon My Father, and He will furnish to Me presently more than twelve legions of angels? The interaction between the characters is so shallow, if it were a pool I'd feel comfortable laying my baby in it... Face down. Not that I have a baby, but you know, my future baby.

I had a lot of fun reading Vampire’s Kiss. The story captivated and intrigued me. I liked the balance of action and romance. Urban Fantasy readers will enjoy this book. Vampires Kiss features a family of bounty hunters under the business name Pandora's Box. In this fantasy, there are gods, angels, witches, vampires, werewolves and humans. A humans are born with an some type of magical affinity but they are able to become angels if they go through this legion academy and reach level 9. For context, most people die at level 1.

Jesus didn’t need Peter’s little sword that night. Had He chosen to do so, Jesus could have summoned 72,000 magnificent, mighty, dazzling, glorious, overwhelmingly powerful angels to the Garden to obliterate the Roman soldiers and the temple police who had come to arrest Him. In fact, the combined strength in twelve legions of angels could have wiped out the entire human race! But Jesus didn’t call on the supernatural help that was available to Him. Why? Because He knew it was time for Him to voluntarily lay down His life for the sin of the human race. But Leda soon finds herself on the wrong side of a conspiracy that will shake up the supernatural world—and at the mercy of a fiercely powerful and tempting angel. At first glance you could be fooled into thinking you know all you need to know about the characters but as with anyone, there are hidden motives and behind the scenes manoeuvring which leaves questions hanging and nicely sets up the next book.

I generally don't like covers showing girls in some heroic poses (with minimum clothing) all blonde and beautiful...but this cover attracted attention because it came up as kindle-unlimited recommendations and I thought what I have got to lose?

Their is a little love triangle in Vampire’s Kiss. Two men take an interest in Leda and they approach her in different ways. Leda dose make decisions that lead one or the other on and with that it bumped my liking of her down a notch. I’m not a fan of love triangles, but I will say by the ending things are leaning more towards one.
