I adored this book right from the very start and had me laughing out loud numerous times and then at other times gasping out loud in shock for the pain that some of these characters were suffering. There are heartbreaking stories behind some of the characters, including Masha, that become apparent by the end. Delilah steals Ben's Lamborghini and runs away; Yao leaves Masha and abandons the guests to their fate.There were parts where I felt a little frustrated by the kookiness of the story (or perhaps the silly framework masquerading as a story), but I did feel genuinely moved at some parts. g. the “team-building” exercise portion of the retreat) when they are really separate stories was not effective or interesting.

She knows she needs to lose some weight and come to terms with menopause, the imminent decline of her career, and the hurt and humiliation she feels after a romance has gone awry. Promised that 10 days there will change things forever, they soon learn that some promises are lies. They run from so many dangers in so many different locations that I'm just not paying attention anymore.
