Description

The new DHP486 combi drills will eventually replace the DHP481Z and DHP481RTJ, which of course were previously considered the best in the range. Speed Mechanical Gearing – high speed mode produces 2,100rpm for rapid drilling speed while low speed produces high levels of torque to suit high load operation. Drilling Modes: Screwdriving mode (rotation with clutch) for achieving an even consistent finish when fastening screws.

Users have regularly favoured higher RPMs over the years, possibly for no other reason than that they look good on paper! Another reason users will love this new model is that it’s approximately 14% smaller than the DHP481.The DHP486 is powered by any 18v LXT battery and features a compact brushless motor that improves battery runtime by around 30% and requires no maintenance. The extremely sturdy materials guarantee that the DHP486Z will have unparalleled durability and function well for years to come. Founded a year after the outbreak of the First World War, Makita Corporation specialized in the mass production and maintenance of electric motors. Now in 2021, Makita have seemingly announced the launch of the DHP486 18v LXT combi hammer drill and DDF486 drill driver in some countries. While the new DHP486 combi hammer drill does look similar to the original DHP481, Makita has confirmed that it is the most robust drill in its class, thanks to the 130 Nm of torque it offers from its brushless motor.

Two-speed mechanical gearing delivers significant amounts of torque for heavy-duty operations in the low-speed mode, which yields up to 2,100 rpm for quick drilling speed. The DHP486Z includes a heavy-duty construction with an all-steel gearbox, quality all-metal 13mm keyless chuck and an extended side handle for firm grip and control. While the highly durable materials ensure this tool has unmatched durability, and will continue to perform in years to come.Powered by an LXT Brushless motor which also has mechanical 2-speed control and a variable speed trigger with an electric brake. The LXT Compact continues to refine the formula of faster-charging batteries with leading power-to-weight ratio's. It is often sooner than this however different banks process these with varying levels of efficiency.

The high powered brushless motor produces 130Nm peak torque and the high durability aluminium gear housing ensures long-lasting performance. Although a century-old, Makita in terms of power tool manufacturer is relatively younger than its competition on the market. With a huge maximum fastening torque of 130Nm, the DHP486Z can easily cope with drilling holes in soft and hardwoods up to 76mm diameter and masonry up to 16mm. Hammer Drilling mode rotation with hammering) on the for drilling in masonry up to a maximum 16mm hole diameter. The DHP486Z has undergone a redesign with a newly designed motor and gear ratio, to increase performance in heavy-duty situations while also obtaining higher power. With its mechanical 2 speed gearing and all metal gear construction, this tool offers reliable operation.
