Carmellose sodium should start to work straight away, but it may take several weeks before you feel the full effects. There are no other eye drops that contain both carmellose sodium and glycerol as the active ingredients. According to Systane, these gel eye drops are suitable for people with dry eyes and digital eyestrain.
