Description

To start this comparison article off, we must define what a Bose Bass Module actually is. Technically, both Bose Bass Module 500 and 700 are subwoofers. They are not standalone products. You cannot use a Bass Module without a Bose Smart Soundbar. They work together to create well-balanced and immersive audio. Overall the Bose Soundbar 500 and Bose Bass Module 500 is a great home theater sound system for those who do not have the space for a true 5.1 surround sound setup. It is able to produce crystal clear audio with exceptional voice clarity along with the muscle to produce room thumping bass and the low rumble ambiance of a movie theater. My family has always been a Bose customer. Their products have always spoke for themselves, and the same remains true here. To give you a brief overview of the main positives and negatives of this product, here are some pros and cons: Pros: Now, to get to the nitty-gritty. Here are the main factors that set the Bose Bass Module 500 apart from the Bose Bass Module 700. Size

Both the Bose Bass Module 500 and the 700 feature two buttons. However, these two buttons operate differently on each device. On the Bose Bass 500, one button connects the Module to other Bose devices. The other is for turning the microphone assistant off. So, first of the all, both the 500 and the 700 are wireless devices. This means that you can get about 30 feet worth of range from other devices in your home. That’s great for avoiding any of those messy wires which always seem to get in the way of life. Although small, the Bose Bass Module 500 can create powerful bass waves throughout your living room. The thunderous bass created adds entirely new elements to your sound set-up. Movies will feel more cinematic and music will become more atmospheric.

Although the Bose Bass Module 500 offers great bass and a stylish design that’s specifically meant for compact areas, the Bose Bass Module 700 would be a better option if you have a larger space and money is not an issue. One appealing aspect of the Bose Bass Module 500 is that it’s almost a complete cube. Although its sides aren’t technically the same length, it does carry the look of a perfect cube. This small and neat scale allows you to fit it almost anywhere in your room. Obviously, being smaller, it’s a better option that the Bass Module 500 if you’re short on space.

The Bose Bass Module 700 is a super-enhanced subwoofer that allows the user to pair the subwoofer with Bose Soundbar 300, 500, 700, and even 900. The Bose Bass Module 500 features 500 watts. This is less than the Bose Bass Module 700, which boasts 800 watts. Bose doesn’t normally state the total wattage of a product, so these are only estimates. Final Thoughts If you connect the Bose TV Speaker to your TV using the supplied optical cable, you can use the included remote. Or you can program a third-party universal remote to control (please refer to your universal remote control for programming instructions and the appropriate Bose IR codes). Also, the soundbar can be programmed to “learn” the volume and mute commands from your existing remote. See Using another remote to control your Bose system in the Bose Support section for instructions. Released at the same time as the Bose Bass Module 700, the 500 model was offered as a cheaper and more compact alternative. However, don’t let its smaller size deceive you. The Bose Bass Module 500is more than capable of producing thunderous bass tones. Both of the subs are compatitable with the Bose range of speakers and soundbars. This means you’ll be able to pair them up to just about any of the other amazing Bose home audio tech. With this combination of equipment, your home cinema will transfomr the way you watch movies and you’ll discover a world of immersion like never before. The Bose Bass Module 500 is a super sleek subwoofer with a compact design that’s easy to use. With 10 inches in the cube and weighing less than 11 pounds, it makes an excellent fit for small living rooms.

The model has a sophisticated design with a high-quality tempered glass top. It also uses a nominal voltage of 120 volts and a power supply to assure maximum performance. Overall, module 700 enhances the profound audio effects, granting you a crazily good cinematic experience to feel within the comfort of your home.

Adding the subwoofer to the soundbar was easy. To do this, I plugged the subwoofer to an AC outlet and used the Bose Music App to add it to the soundbar. It detected the Bass Module 500 Subwoofer and I was able to easily paired it with the soundbar. I like that it is wireless so it can be placed at any convenient location rather than be tied to the soundbar. I have it placed next to my sofa. The Bose Bass Module 500 is the perfect companion to the Bose Soundbar 500. The subwoofer is the magic ingredient that allows the soundbar to produce that movie theater ambiance where you can feel the low rumble of a thunderstorm or the thumping approach of a dinosaur. Bose, a US audio manufacturer, made this. If one company will see you through for speakers, Bose is it. The company based in the vicinity of Boston has a range including superior audio devices. Alongside their speakers, Bose is admired for their collection of in ear headphones. Bass Module 500 is an active set up. This means it comes with a fitted amplifier. Active amps link directly to your Hi-Fi, record player, or another device which plays music. Active Principle Speakers

Building on the bass provided by the rest of your system, the Bose Bass Module 500 provides quality high and low-frequency extensions. Generally, it can be used to take bass-heavy songs to the next level. If you like feeling Around the World by Daft Punk, rather than just listening to it, these Bose Bass Module 500s are for you. This model has two buttons, one of which is used to connect the device to a soundbar. The other is the microphone button that disables the voice assistant function when turned off. If your TV is HDMI-CEC enabled, you can connect the Bose TV Speaker to your TV using an HDMI cable (sold separately) and continue to use the remote control you are already familiar with to control your TV. HDMI-CEC will allow the Bose TV Speaker to automatically turn on when you turn on your TV and your existing remote control will control the Bose TV Speaker volume. After pairing, the app reported that I had a Bass Module 700 instead of the Bass Module 500. That’s weird. I tried to redo everything by removing all accessory speakers and attempted to add the Bass Module 500 again but the same thing happened. The app keeps reporting that I have a Bass Module 700 after pairing. It probably doesn’t make much difference but I was worried that it might not calibrate the system correctly if it thought I had the more powerful 700 instead of the 500 paired to the soundbar. The app does allow you to adjust the bass level to suit your taste. The maximum output power of the Bose Bass Module 700 is ‎800 Watts. This figure is more than the Bose Bass Module 500. This maximum output power is only an estimate. How many watts does the Bose Bass Module 500 feature?
