I'm going to pay an hommage to this fragrance as it doesn't get that much love in the fragrance community. It smells spicy, woody, and honestly I just sampled Polo Deep Blue which I also considered for my Dad, and amazingly they both smell very similar to me.

This is its own fragrance but there’s an Aventus vibe/Atelier Cologne Musk Imperial thing going own which is appearing due to the juniper berries that make it tonic like, the woods with the cedar the fig and citrus notes at the top. While I enjoy the general vibe of the current interpretation of "blue" fragrances, and I like the modernity of them, I usually find them to be too heavy, sometimes cloying, and too spicy. Fresh geranium, calming clary sage and energising lavandin are sensually contrasted with the addition of a fig milk accord. I often don’t get a lot of the notes that are mentioned in a fragrance’s pyramid l, but here with K I actually do, particularly the three somewhat uncommon ones I mentioned above.

I relized I was distracted by my expectations on how a "fig fragrance" or a blue fragrance should smell like, and I was missing on what turned out to be a very well balanced and delicate composition with a foody vibe to it. Made for the king of everyday life, allowing its wearer to express even deeper facets of his personality. There's a nice touch of sandalwood, which I stopped smelling shortly after as sandalwood ingredients tend to be hard to smell. However then you have this gorgeous fresh blue top notes and freshness that balances everything together perfectly.The drydown has a familiar feeling… it’s definitely got a dryer sheet vibe, which sauvage also has, except sauvage is so much more scratchy and piercing. Despite any negative reviews, in my opinion, this fragrance smells excellent, exuding a masculine aroma and lasting well throughout the day. The pepper and wood notes are much stronger and the EDP is slightly less sweet, even though the EDT isn't overly sweet either. My Dad isn’t a loud individual so I’m sure he doesn’t want his fragrance blaring, so it could suit him more for that reason with the previous reviews I’m seeing regarding the projection. It may be a subjective fragrance to each who smells it, I personally really like it and it has a uniqueness to it that personally I like to look for in a scent.

I have another clary sage heavy fragrance in Gai Matiolo’s Uomo, but it’s almost too overbearing there. Not that they should be compared at all, for obvious reasons, but the zesty green-ness of the bergamot and other top notes reminded me most directly of my bottle of Ambra Calabria. It’s a fragrance that pays homage to the earthy, rugged landscape of Tuscany, with the long-lasting, woody base permeating throughout. which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 311908) for consumer credit and general insurance and a member of the Finance and Leasing Association.I could reject because the middle to dry-down gives me CK Obsession Night vibes (a juice that now days makes me nauseous).
