Description

The thermal overload protector protects the motor from unexpected voltage fluctuations, short circuits, and overload. The body of this water pump is very robust and works with corded electric power. The global initiative of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) from 2001 to 2015 was a consensus-combined effort of 140 countries to achieve reduced poverty, improved education and health of women and children, and improved access to sanitation, as well as control of diseases such as malaria, HIV, and TB. The MDGs included a specific goal to increase access to safe water supplies. Since 2011, the WHO Global Task Force on Cholera Control has also worked to support the design and implementation of global strategies to contribute to capacity development for cholera prevention and control.

Battery life: The battery of our bottled water pumps is long-lasting and can be charged via USB. Please note: This product is produced from high-quality materials, with resistant stainless steel and weighs light enough to be transported wherever you go. The UN report on MDGs indicates that the global target of halving the proportion of people without access to improved sources of water was met five years ahead of schedule. Between 1990 and 2015, 2.6 billion people gained access to improved drinking water sources. Worldwide 2.1 billion people have gained access to improved sanitation. Despite progress, 2.4 billion are still using unimproved sanitation facilities, including 946 million people still practicing open defecation.Every submersible pump that is fitted with a float has its own moment of activation, with water levels ranging from about 8.5 cm to approximately 30 cm. When selecting a pump, take into account that a particular level is required before the pump switches on automatically.

The Mono Compact range is a pump that takes up just over half a foot of space, a solid self priming pump range Mono can compete with some larger industrial pumps for performance, with a simple design maintenance is minimal and does not require advanced skills. The type of water the pump needs to process is important when you are choosing the most suitable submersible pump; we have subdivided these into four categories. The motor is designed to work seamlessly with a UPS without any issue, and it can efficiently prime the water upto 3 meters with a static suction lift. The motor has a b class insulation that can easily withstand the voltage fluctuation of 180 – 240 volts. TEFC capacitor is responsible for starting and running the motor located inside the terminal box.Cholera infection still endemic in more than 50 countries is caused by V. cholera O1 (99% of cases worldwide), which produces a toxin causing severe watery diarrhea that can be rapidly fatal without treatment of dehydration. Globally, gastroenteric infections kill some three million children per year and must remain one of the high priority issues in international aid for the coming decades. Even industrialized countries with proper sanitation and water supply systems face the risks of waterborne disease outbreaks, since these can occur due to malfunctions and human error in monitoring water supply and safety, as the examples of Milwaukee and Walkerton, Canada, in 2003 showed. Some submersible pumps are suitable for draining a space or tank entirely dry, which means that the pump leaves about 1-2 mm of water that can easily be mopped up. In our product range, we call these devices 'Submersible Puddle Pumps'. They are ideal for handling flooding. Clean-water pump, dirty-water pump, pump for dirty water with solid particles This type of water refers to slightly clouded water that contains sand or other small solid particles, which should not be larger than about 10 mm. Examples include water in a flooded cellar, bathwater, and rainwater mixed with road dirt. I found that nearly all the deaths had taken place within a short distance of the pump … With regard to the deaths … there were sixty-one instances in which I was informed that the deceased persons used to drink the water from Broad Street, either constantly or occasionally…” Generally speaking, submersible pumps are used to drain or transfer water from shallow sources (up to about 7 metres). Many of them are fitted with a float that can be switched on and off. When activated, the pump will start operating at a certain water level, and when deactivated the pump can manually drain an area 'dry'. These pumps are used for draining flooded cellars, gardens, rooms, barns, and so on, but are also practical for draining water from reservoirs, barrels, swimming pools, ditches, or canals. Which accessories will be handy for you?

A submersible pump is the best solution for draining ‘undesirable’ water from cellars, crawl spaces, sump wells, and other areas that can flood. If you want to ensure that the submersible pump switches on automatically at a specific water level, you can opt for the DAB Nova Up 300 M-AE. This submersible puddle pump has a sliding float switch on its side, with which you can determine an activation level ranging from 8.5 cm to 25.5 cm. This submersible pump has the lowest automatic activation level, and is therefore very versatile. High capacity

The Broad Street pump episode demonstrated that cholera was water-borne and thus the means to prevent it had already been identified almost 30 years before. Snow also established the basic methodology of modern public health for infectious disease investigation and contributed to establishing the validity of the Germ Theory, which was still highly controversial at this time. The potential to relieve suffering and death from cholera, and other gastroenteric infections from contaminated water (and food) resulting from John Snow’s work, is still far from being fully achieved. But his contribution has saved millions of lives. Improving sanitation and reducing poverty are still closely linked issues in public health today in both industrialized and developing countries. The WHO has called for recognition of cholera as a Neglected Tropical Disease and promotes its prevention and control globally. But clearly cholera and its many brother waterborne diseases are real and present dangers in a globalized world with millions traveling for business, tourism, and migration. John Snow pointed the way, and the modern world needs to apply lessons learned from this case. Snow’s brilliant, game-changing studies of cholera in 1854 earned him the title “the father of modern epidemiology.” His work led directly to steps taken to improve water safety in London, setting new standards for other urban centers across the industrialized world, resulting in cholera, typhoid, and other enteric infectious diseases largely disappearing in many countries and saving of millions of lives over the years. Yet cholera, along with many other waterborne diseases, remains a serious challenge to public health with severe health, economic, and social effects globally particularly on the poorest populations, especially those in developing countries or in disaster situations in the 21 st century.
