Read Write Inc (RWI) is a phonics complete literacy programme which helps children learn to read fluently and at speed so they can focus on developing their skills in comprehension, vocabulary and spelling. The programme is designed for children aged 4-7. However, at Robins Lane we begin the programme in Nursery (when appropriate, in short sessions, focusing on initial sounds)andcontinue teaching RWI to children beyond the age of 7 if they still need support with their earlyreading skills. Read Write Inc. Phonics Red Ditty Book Bag Books are engaging texts to support children with additional reading practice outside the classroom. The books are uniquely matched to the Read Write Inc.
