While the Electric Standing Desk goes straight up and down, the manual Standing Desk comes out a bit when raised. All you’ll need to do is clear enough space on your desk to accommodate its sizeable footprint, which measures 914x990mm when flat. You might need a second helping hand getting the Pro Plus 36 out of its box, however, as it weighs a considerable 23kg. Studies prove that standing up for part of the workday can increase your calorie burn and raise your energy levels, metabolism, and productivity. Plus, it can reduce your risk factors for diabetes, high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease. With the Pro Plus 36 at its lowest level, it’s low enough to use as a conventional seated desk. When you’re returning to a seated position you’ll need to make sure you’ve cleared any objects away from the sides, as they’ll get crushed or cause an obstruction when you lower the Pro Plus’ surface.
