This is great for taking advantage of meal breaks to charge 2 phones at a time. It has a relatively compact size considering the amount of power it supplies. You need power for your phone: The 3,000mAh battery inside is plenty to keep your Apple Watch going, but that isn't enough power to get you even halfway charged on an iPhone 15, and even less on bigger phones. Previously, it was using FastPasses the ate up most of your phone battery. However, FastPasses are a thing of the past now. In its place is Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lane booking. If you’re primarily concerned about using FuelRods at the airport, Walt Disney World, or Disneyland–that’s great. FuelRod probably has you covered. For Disney regulars or Annual Passholders, there is value in FuelRod. Again, we’re not saying this is a totally useless service or product.

The major benefit to FuelRod (vs the other portable chargers) is that you can swap your drained FuelRod for a freshly charged one at any of the FuelRod kiosks throughout the Walt Disney World parks and resorts. This information relies solely on anecdotal reports of people who have found outlets throughout the parks. Perhaps the most talked about outlets are the ones hidden in fake tree stumps near the Tangled bathrooms in Magic Kingdom. Again, the major downside to this strategy is you are tethered to a specific location for an extended period of time. If this is timed with a stroller nap and a rest, this isn’t so bad. But if your kids are impatient to continue with their Disney experience, this might not be a palatable option. Not to mention you have to remember to bring your charger with you.We expect this competition will heat up next year as more power bank makers catch up and make faster charging batteries.
