Description

The extra soft nature of this foam extends its life. It also keeps it lightweight while still effectively absorbing low-energy impacts. Available in different grades – including PORON® 4701-40 soft foam, PORON® 4701-50 firm foam for managing high energy impact and PORON® 4701-60 firm foam for energy management solutions including enclosure gaskets PORON is a fine pitch open cell urethane foam produced by Rogers Corporation. The uniform, microcellular structure allows PORON to be easily compressed for dust seals and cushions. Water sealing with PORON is possible in applications with proper compression and moderate water exposure. The average cell size of PORON foam is approximately 100 microns.

Due to its high heat tolerance, the PORON 4701-40 series is often used in battery pads. Lithium batteries will not alter the foam, even in the case of a highly exothermic reaction. Smooth skin – Most grades of PORON foam are manufactured with a smooth skin on both sides. The supported products have a 1 mil PET film bonded permanently to one side.

Finally, coming to the stabilizers. The keyboard uses PCB-mount screw-in stabilizers that attach to the PCB, instead of plate-mounted ones that, as the name suggests, attach to the switch plate. This is a nice addition to the keyboard as screw-in stabilizers are less prone to wire-popping and are more stable on the keyboard. They do not come pre-lubed, however, so make sure to have your preferred lube ready before you install it onto the PCB. This polyurethane foam series is composed of the second softest PORON foams. Some of its softness is traded for higher tensile strength than the 4701-30 series. Flexible materials are valuable when they can revert to their original state after withstanding pressure. This is called compression set resistance and PORON foam is incredible in this category.

When you're working with long-term tape for your projects, you'll want to make sure you're choosing the correct adhesive for the job. We're going to provide you with eleven types of PORON foam so you can see which might work for your project. 1. PORON 4701-15-06 (SOFT SEAL)

Series

HH is a harder product, primarily being used for the foot pads of audio devices, home electric appliances and office appliances. The C type that has excellent gripping property is also available. We do not recommend using 4170-60 to fill small gaps. Its firmness might prevent it from expanding precisely into the necessary shape in a small space. RECOMMENDED USE For over 30 years, CB Frost has maintained a close relationship with world leading speciality engineered materials company, Rogers Corporation. We are a preferred UK converter of Rogers products, including PORON® Urethane foam. Die cut PORON foam can be customized to your project's exact needs while, at the same time, keeping the efficiency of mass production. Die cutting is just one customization service that will help you produce your foam parts in a timely and cost-effective manner.

PORON® Urethanes are patented open cell, breathable materials. The open cells act like tiny springs absorbing impact and providing cushioning to the body. PORON® Urethanes are designed to maintain their memory and continue to return to their original shape. The materials are resistant to moisture and other environmental conditions offering continued cushioning comfort in footwear, orthotic appliances, apparel and other applications. The fit and finish of the EK75 is absolutely fantastic. Built from full aluminum construction it looks much more premium and sophisticated than its price tag might suggest (especially if you are used to gaming keyboards that are priced much higher and offer not even a tenth of its features).

The PORON EVExtend® is not waterproof. It isn’t particularly versatile and has a highly specific utility. It is not typically the best choice for any project beyond interfacing with an electric vehicle battery. RECOMMENDED USE PORON foam is a microcellular urethane with high compression set resistance and high energy absorption. This foam has an open-cell design, which allows for greater resiliency and longevity, even after multiple impacts.
