Without hesitation, I'd certainly sign on for another book and I’ve already gifted a copy of the book to a friend. Daniel Matthews’s Earthbound makes a convincing case for why the response to climate change is not a serious challenge but the serious challenge for our time. He teaches us to reclaim what we have lost and he does so as one who has battled himself to win himself again. A motivating, no-bullshit mix of Seneca, Jocko Willink, and personal epiphanies/theories from the author. A game changer for me in so many ways this book, Ryan allows you to see the flaw and also how to fix it to make you a better man in all aspects of life!

As a whole, I was a little disappointed by the writing style in the book, but I thought that Ryan’s message was absolutely SPOT ON!Along the lines of Think and Grow Rich, but with the focus on being a “Sovereign Man” than on the “grow rich” idea - unless Sovereign man matches your idea of rich. Established in 1822 as a colony for freed slaves from the United States, Liberia's history illustrates how the government's efforts to exercise its economic sovereignty and engage with the global economy shaped Liberia's economic and political development over the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Santner, and Aaron Schuster show how politics in the age of Trump functions by mobilizing a contradictory and convoluted enjoyment, an explosive mixture of drives and fantasies that eludes existing portraits of our era. He is the author of Iraqi Kurdistan, the PKK and International Relations: Theory and Ethnic Conflict (2018). Metrics have been proven not to be all that effective and you don’t wanna project manager your life into being miserable, but it’s still a good template.

A new kid was waxing philosophical, using words like “sovereign” and “election”—words I had not encountered. His world may be gutless, his world may be filled with men that are not living to his standard, but I know many good men and the world he describes does not reside in this reality. Ines Mahmoud is Economic Programme Manager at the North Africa office of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation. I'm grateful that Ryan Michler pulled it together, but apart from the military tactics, I've heard it better said by Stoicism commentators. Although a man may never be caught in his indiscretion, the consequences of a guilty conscience and a heavy heart are equally, if not more, damaging to a man’s freedom and liberty. Always I can look back to the cross to see the greatest thing he’s done, in a way you and I would never have planned nor asked for.

Maha Ben Gadha is Economic Programme Manager at the North Africa office of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation.Sovereignty and superheroes marks a major new contribution to the emerging field of comic studies and the growing literature on superheroes.

This book is for anyone who is beginning to wrestle with questions of how God's sovereignty can fit with any area of human responsibility. This collection is the first to offer a wide-ranging, comparative and historical look at how African societies have attempted to increase their policy influence and move beyond neoliberal orthodoxy and US-dollar dependency. Though, certain points don't need elaboration and Ryan tends to keep dragging on certain lessons and their implications in life. I have to give Ryan Michler credit for being a man of action who speaks from experience and shares his knowledge with the reader. It is a beautifully composed expression of a questioning mind encountering modernity through anthropology, philosophy, and reflection. Perhaps the author is trying to meet the needs of his target audience, but not all men fine it necessary to use bad language. While agro-industrial production is promoted as the solution to these problems, growing global "food sovereignty" movements are challenging this model by demanding local and democratic control over food systems.
