Again, as was said yesterday this can be a difficult concept so do use counting objects and 2 tens frames to support them if needed. Then, since dinosaurs are apparently keen gardeners, they turn our plant into a lush paradise, that is somewhat implausibly suitable for both people and dinosaurs to enjoy in harmony, with neither people being eaten nor Sauropod eggs for breakfast in my memory there was an extensive series of pictures showing dinosaurs sweeping rubbish into volcanoes, ripping out motorways like so much old carpet, however upon re-inspection it proved that my imagination had substantially embellished the original in my memory.

Although published in 1972 the message of pollution and the importance of recycling remains the same and is probably even more relevant today.Upon arriving, it is not the lush (grass is greener scenario) planet that he fantisised about; rather, it is barren and life less. Watch the story Dinosaurs and all that Rubbish being read here– only watch the first part, pause after ‘Somehow I must fly’. Foreman uses unique concepts to bring to life truth about man's destruction of the Earth through industrail development. This is a good lesson to all KS1 and KS2 children that we should be conscious of the environment and try our level best to make sure we keep it beautiful, just like the dinosaurs taught us.

As your child’s well being is more important than ever we will be providing 5 suggestions for wellbeing activities each week, based on the NHS idea of “Five to Thrive”. Follows the story of a wealthy, greedy man who pollutes and destroys Earths natural resources in his desire to travel to a distant star.

Meanwhile (back at the ranch) back on his planet, the dinosaur eggs that were buried and being warmed by the pollution had hatched. Spelling Seeds have been designed to complement Writing Roots by providing weekly, contextualised sequences of sessions for the teaching of spelling that include open-ended investigations and opportunities to practise and apply within meaningful and purposeful contexts, linked (where relevant) to other areas of the curriculum and a suggestion of how to extend the investigation into home learning. So not only is it a fantastic story, beautifully illustrated, fun and interesting, but it is also a resource for the early stages of children thinking about their planet and keeping it a safe and friendly place!

The facility includes a height-adjustable bench, tracking hoist system, a centrally-placed toilet, a height-adjustable basin and a shower. My parents read this book to me so many times when I was young that I feel pretty certain I could redraw every panel. The rocket was finally mad, however, there was no clear ground for the launch of the rocket as the men and the factories and made pile of rubbish. A story that highlights the self-centredness and blindness of man in the pursuit of his selfish desires; pollution and rubbish covers the earth while he endevours to fullfill his dreams by buidling a rocket that will take him to a distant star. They are horrified when they see the state of the planet and quickly set to work, clearing the rubbish to allow the natural world to take over once more.

Please note children can often find this inverse work (relating addition facts to subtraction facts) tricky so please don’t worry if they need support, especially at first. When I first picked up this book again after many years, I remembered it only as a fun story about a chap who wants to go to the moon – with dinosaurs. The art in this book was lovely, however I didn't like the story and I didn't really get it at the end. Powerpoint– Work through the powerpoint recapping the key skills of ‘days of the week’ again and Number bonds.
