Both are also at points in their careers where they essentially feel stuck, they need something to change, and their partnership could very well be the catalyst. The evening turns more promising when she meets a charming man at the bar and immediately connects with him. Many thanks to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing for sharing this amazing digital reviewer copy with me in exchange my honest opinions. Swoony, steamy, heart-wrenching, and healing, this story will hug your heart long after the last page.

When the book opens she’s at the book signing (of her book) “written” by an Instagram influencer who doesn’t even recognize Chandler. Some other random things I loved about this story include the LOTR references, learning a bit more about comic-con, and the Jewish rep and mentioning the challenges/racism experienced in the entertainment/media industry. Solomon's book is bawdy and hilarious, but it's also extremely emotionally resonant and smart as it tackles everything from abortion to mental health. Both wisecracking and wise, edgy and vulnerable , Business or Pleasure skillfully balances everything that makes romance great. Following an immediate attraction, they cap off the night with a surprisingly mediocre one-night stand.Chandler finally accepts the offer that will give her opportunity to travel to Oregon, moving away from her trapped life, giving her enough time what she has to do with her life. Originally from Seattle, she's currently navigating expat life in Amsterdam, where she can often be found exploring the city, collecting stationery, and working up the courage to knit her first sweater. the two MCs have one of the healthiest relationships i have ever read about and i definitely think thats why this book is getting so many high ratings this early on.

Lastly, Chandler loves to bitch about how she thought she'd be writing more meaningful stories as if she hasn't only written two books. I'm so glad a book like this exists—a kind, gentle, honest depiction of what we invest in and get out of connection with another person.

This book was funny, engaging and managed to handle these intimacy lessons in a really informative way, without making the book feel like a lecture. The side characters were excellent with Chandler's cousin (who's more like a sister), her parents, Finn's mom and best friend. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

I also loved Teen Wolf years ago, and enjoyed reading about the fan culture and conventions from an actor’s perspective. The c-lister subplot was really interesting and I enjoyed experiencing the convention life vicariously through these characters.

Chandler’s determined to keep their partnership as professional as possible, but when she admits to Finn their night together wasn’t as mind-blowing as he thought it was, he’s distraught.
