Virginia did not get nearly as much screen time as I would have liked, but her limited story in this book was absolutely fantastic. Second a lot of reviews are pooping on TGR narration or complaining about the audio quality, i think his narration is great but i understand they got use to lysander's VA from IG/DA. The many villains introduced in Dark Age shrink to a smaller number, some plot lines are dropped at the very beginning or just not touched upon. If you enjoy something about a production let it be reflected in your ratings and comments so the creators will know whats popular. In Iron Gold and Dark Age, Darrow is mostly separated from the main characters from the first trilogy.

It never feels like work to do a second read of the series from the beginning, and honestly speaking, I am glad I did that before reading Light Bringer. Since starting it a few years ago, The Red Rising series has quickly become one of my favorite series ever. There were four places that the majority of the plot took place with four very separate, but intertwining threads.The Reaper is a legend, more myth than man: the savior of worlds, the leader of the Rising, the breaker of chains.

I wanted to spend time with them again I waited years for this book, and it is a supreme disappointment. However, once I reached 30% mark, the tempo of the story sped up rapidly and it was unable to put it down. Apart from Red Rising (book 1) back in 2018, Light Bringer is the only book in the Red Rising Saga to get only 3 stars from me. I will definitely re-read it many times over while I wait for next and final instalment of this spectacular series.Without him, I don't know if I ever even finish the first book, and now this series is among my favorite of all time.

re-record After the brilliance of iron gold and dark age for them to just go with one voice actor is very disappointing.You could easily tell that Audible had been changing some of the mixer settings instead of just letting TGR do his magic like he did in the original trilogy.

However, depending on how Red God goes Darrow may overtake Sevro and several others in my top characters of all time. Brown went all out on the gore, darkness, violence, and bleakness of the circumstances and threats Darrow and his friends faced to mercilessly showcase the darkness and cruelty of war and violence. My emotional investment (and I think the same notion is felt by other Howlers) toward the characters is real.tim is the best in the business, I have listened to 300 + audio books, mostly fantasy + sci-fi and he is pure class. Light Bringer, while also featuring some epic fights, is I would say more about Darrow's journey back to himself and the message he's fighting for - the man he wants to be. As a result, for the first time in the series, after all the development, I can now say Darrow has become one of my top favorite main characters.
