It’s impossible to watch this episode and not see it as creator-writer Joe Brumm’s spiritual-scientific manifesto: Bluey and Bingo start as mother and baby fish and then proceed through reptiles, dinosaurs, mammals and even cavedogs until finally an all-grown-up Bingo takes the now elderly Bluey to explore space. After reading a parenting book, Bandit decides to allow his children to make their own decisions and develop autonomy. Bluey and Bingo act out the procedures of a burger restaurant while in the bathtub, and he gently encourages them to finish their game and go to bed. Ultimately, Bandit realises that a more authoritarian approach is required to make the children listen. Bluey and Bingo need a space for their stuffed toy Kimjim to sleep, so build a miniature bedroom for him. They expand their construction into a larger cubby, growing with multiple new rooms built from furniture around the house. The girls lose Kimjim in the process, and Bandit tries to navigate through the massive and unfamiliar new structure.

Bluey is apprehensive about being put to bed by babysitters, so Rad and Frisky organise games to help her get to know them better.
