I just wish it would last longer- it’s extremely strong when you first spray if but it dies out really quickly- I would have absolutely loved it if it was longer lasting and more even in strength! It may project the too familiar crabapple, sandalwood, amber and musk, but close to the skin there is real artistry. a pretty nose-tickling floral that is a bit aquatic; almost seems to have pepper in it; the main notes are rose, LOTV, peony with support from orchid, some white musk, a little creamy sandalwood and lilac in the base and that odd opening that does not smell like traditional eucalyptus but lends a little herbal quality to the opening that gives it a fresh ocean vibe. Top notes are Lily, Peony, Lily-of-the-Valley, Orchid, Rose and False Jasmine; middle notes are Eucalyptus, Lilac, Jasmine and Blackberry; base notes are Sandalwood, Musk and Tonka Bean.

I wonder what kind of reviews this fragrance would get if 'Hanae Mori' was on the bottle, or just about any house's name other than Calvin Klein. I wear it regularly - I like its freshness of the eucalyptus, which is very prominent on me, and its floral musky character, which is the drydown on me.This is what it causes me a conflict because it is nice and also pleasant but nothin special and in my opinion it ruins the amazing start although it gives the fragrance enough versatility. Contradiction is quite versatile and I like to wear this all year around, it is slightly warm so I do prefer them for the autumn and wintertime. Reflecting on this fragrance as an adult, I can see why my teenage self enjoyed this, but it is equally a floral which is suited to an older audience who don't want sugary or fruity scents. I'm an Australian, from the country, so this particular note reminds me of home and the bush, which perhaps in turn makes me a fan.

I haven’t smelled this in 20 years so I’m just going by memory, I remember it being intense, sweet, spicy, and almost metallic all at once. I have to say: the first spray really reminds me of a can of insecticide, feel free to disagree but can't help it. The only change I can detect is that the old metal cap has been replaced by a lookalike plastic cap, which is a shame, but in the scheme of things I frankly don't give a toss. I suppose it is because I love the opening which it seems to me one of the most original I have ever tested; sparkling and fresh but dry, elegant, magnificent at the same time. After some time I dicovered that, first, it was a well balanced scent without unnecessary sweetness, two, it had a nice, feminine, pear-fresh facet, and three, a deeper stage was similar to Truth (berries, I guess), giving it a nice kick and edge. Recently replenished to the collection as a gift and again I'm in the process of working out what it is I find so wrong with it given an array of good ingredients.I bought it last summer, wasn't very impressed and I decided to give it another chance in fall/winter. But before putting it away, I decided to perform a little test and presented it to a dozen of females. The somewhat synthetic edge that marks CK fragrances as modern is present here, but somehow I find it pleasant. In my opinion, the metallic note twinkles out from the blanket of warm that lasts 8+ hours on my skin (even more on clothes).
