John Cunliffe owned the boat for the first 50 episodes from 1990 to 1992. Rosie & Jim called him Fizzgog. He was an author who wrote stories about Rosie and Jim based on his daily travels and adventures. Rosie and Jim (sometimes written as Rosie & Jim) is a British children's television programme produced by Ragdoll Productions and aired on ITV from 3rd September 1990 to 10th March 2000, and on PBS from 5 September 1992 to 31 March 2001. Rosie and Jim are two rag dolls who live on a narrowboat called the Ragdoll. The two rag dolls sit on the narrowboat with their concertina and only come alive when no one is looking. They spend their days learning about the different places they visit with the narrowboat owners along the rivers and canals.
