John Cunliffe owned the boat for the first 50 episodes from 1990 to 1992. Rosie & Jim called him Fizzgog. He was an author who wrote stories about Rosie and Jim based on his daily travels and adventures. Rosie and Jim (sometimes written as Rosie & Jim) is a British children's television programme produced by Ragdoll Productions and aired on ITV from 3rd September 1990 to 10th March 2000, and on PBS from 5 September 1992 to 31 March 2001. Rosie and Jim are two rag dolls who live on a narrowboat called the Ragdoll. The two rag dolls sit on the narrowboat with their concertina and only come alive when no one is looking.
