Just think, because you are taking your time here, that means you don't have to hand sew on the horn later! Fold the outer bottom corner of the ear in a little and sew it down as shown. This gives the ear some movement. You can paint cheeks and eyes with a marker, or forego the former and make the latter out of buttons. There are really quite a lot of ways to do it!
