The Genius 9000 comes with 4 brush heads in the box compared to the 3 with the Smart 6. (2 x CrossAction, 1 x 3D White & 1 x Sensi UltraThin v 1 x CrossAction, 1 x 3D White & 1 x Sensi UltraThin) Reading the headline it is difficult to think that we are talking about electronic toothbrushes, but this indicates the level of development that Oral-B has imposed in recent years.

As a result of the Genius 9000 requiring the holder for your smartphone, one of these comes supplied in the box. This is not the case with the Genius X.As for the timer, this indicates the minimum time that brushing should last (according to studies carried out by experts), which is usually around two minutes. The timer is also present in all four models. Artificial intelligence and position detection That’s quite a wide range that covers the softest to the most vigorous, so you should find one that’s comfortable for you in amongst them. PROFESSIONAL CLEAN and HEALTHIER GUMS with the POSITION DETECTION to reach 100% brushing coverage so you never miss a spot. Situated within the panel below the buttons, these icons are a lot smarter and more practical than the Smart 5. However, there is no icon for the standard Daily Clean mode, which is a bit strange. As part of both the mechanical motor change and the changes in handle design, the brush heads for the iO have changed too.

The first is brand. Looking at the brand of the product is often a really good indicator for judging product quality. For example you’d expect a much higher quality product from a brand known for providing excellent quality than you would from an unknown or even a budget brand. We have already talked about all the technical characteristics of each brush, so it is time to analyze the exterior of each one of them. It is true that it is a question that is not very relevant, but there is nothing negative in how they are.

The Oral-B brush and app is designed to work with 1 user only. To work best, both users need their own brush and own smartphone. There is technically a work around to allow 2 different users to use the same brush, but on different phones, but it is less than ideal. This, therefore, is why your husbands brushing sessions come up as unguided sessions on your app. This approach is the same for other models and other brands. It is a shame and something I would like to see changed. Technically it must be possible, but I don’t know why Oral-B haven’t done it. Probably because most people have their own brush handles. The Genius X 10,000 and Luxe don’t use that technology anymore and instead, rely on positional sensing built into the brush itself to work out where it is in your mouth. Where brush heads have been interchangeable across Oral-B’s range of handles, this is not the case with the Genius 9000 and iO. You can’t fit an iO brush head to the Genius 9000 and vice versa. The design has changed in such a way that the iO can only use heads designed specifically for this model. That supplied with the Smart 6 is said to be a bit more premium than the 5000 and the Genius 9000 is even more premium again.

Oral-B Genius 9000 Review | Trusted Reviews

The Smart 5 and 6 come with 3 in the box, they are 1 x CrossAction, 1 x 3D White and 1 x Sensitive/Sensi UltraThin. The Genius 9000 on the other hand comes with an extra CrossAction brush head in the box, so 4 heads in total. Despite the chunky size, the Genius 9000 is easy to hold and use. A power button turns on the brush, with the status ring lighting up. The default is for a white light, but you can customise this using the Oral-B smartphone app to select your own colour. The light turns red if you apply too much pressure. On the Smart 5 5000 is a Red plastic panel that illuminates when the pressure sensor is activated. This panel is primarily on the rear but sweeps into the sides of the handle. However, here artificial intelligence plays a crucial role, since the higher models, the Oral-B Genius X and 10000, do not need to use the phone to locate themselves, something that is necessary for the 8000 and 9000 series. Autonomy Those who have yet to sample the delights of an electric toothbrush often have a misunderstanding of the recharging process. With the Oral-B Genius 9900 Electric Toothbrush it takes a maximum two hours to recharge fully. This charge will be enough to last 14 days with the average two minute plus brushing time. Obviously, the Oral-B Genius 9900 Electric Toothbrush comes with a very safe and secure charging base. Simply place your electric toothbrush in the holder, switch on the charger and leave it. Brush speeds vary because how fast they work depends on which brush head and mode you are using. Oral-B brushes pulsate and oscillate.
