Overview: An introduction section summarizing noteworthy facts about the video game, its elements, and mechanics.

The entry states " Enthusiastic fans also found that Amy Rose was supposed to appear in a scrapped Sound Test mode in other leaked versions." In truth, the Sound Test and Amy's appearance were not scrapped, and can still be accessed and viewed in the final game via a cheat code in the color test. In addition to the regular edition, a deluxe edition of Sonic the Hedgehog Encyclo-speed-ia was published. This special version includes: The Crystal Head, Kaizoku Glider and Kaizoku Snowball, who all appear in Blizzard Peaks, are erroneously stated to appear in Haunted Ship. Accelerate to new heights and experience the thrill of high-velocity, open-zone platforming freedom as you race across the five massive Starfall Islands. Whilst there were some slight connections (both projects occasionally featured the work of regular Sonic the Comic artist Richard Elson), the projects were largely separate from one another, with the Sunday comic and annuals preferring self-contained gag strips over Sonic the Comic's continuing plot lines and maturer stance.

The Factoid states " Wait too long, and Sonic will say, "I'm outer [sic] here!" He'll then jump off the stage, costing you a life." This is not true, as Sonic yelling "I'm outer here!" results in an instant Game Over. However, it did cost a life in early prototype builds for the game. Several Sonic the Hedgehog manga series have been published in Japan and as of 2023 were never officially published outside Japan, nor in any language other than Japanese. Please note that DLC content will not be validated if installed after completing the tutorial area. Then, in the aftermath of the Metal Virus Saga, the world has changed. Heroes and villains plan for the future as reconstruction begins. But one hero remains missing, even as Dr. Eggman launches a new assault, determined to take down his enemies once and for all. Faced with new challenges and the legacy of a friend, can the Resistance prevail without the full support of their allies? The entry states that Super Sonic defeated Dr. Eggman in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. While the player can obtain all seven Chaos Emeralds, they cannot use Super Sonic in the final Zone, as there are no Rings there to use to transform. Also, while Sonic does transform into Super Sonic in the game's Good Ending, that only happens after Eggman has already been defeated. King Shahryar's entry states " He mistakes Sonic for the Ma Djinn forces of Erazor." In Sonic and the Secret Rings, this never happens (not even in an implicit manner), with Shahryar merely finding Sonic insolent. Includes Sonic the Hedgehog 1/4, the promotional comic, and the early draft of the promotional comic.
