Ensure Enable Turning on PS5 from Network and Stay Connected to the Internet are turned on. (From: YouTube/John Hammer) The adapter comes with a USB Passthrough port with support for charging. However, that’s useful mostly for Nintendo Switch users only. For PlayStation users, similar to the DRILI PS5 Bluetooth Adapter, the GENKI Audio Bluetooth 5.0 Adapter comes with support for Dual Stream Technology. This allows you to pair a second headphone to the adapter as well, and enjoy gaming with a friend. Also, you get support for aptX-LL, aptX, and SBC codecs here. They do this in two ways. First, they usually support low-latency Bluetooth protocols such as AptX. Secondly, they only handle a single wireless data stream. Typically a USB Bluetooth adapter is used with multiple peripherals competing for bandwidth and processing time. The PS Remote Play app lets you play games remotely on your PS5 via a mobile device. It’s an easy solution that lets you use the secondary device’s Bluetooth functionality to connect your headphones and enjoy in-game audio. Based on the model number, you may think that the DG60 is a lower-end device than the DG80, but actually, they’re priced similarly. The DG60 is just built for a different purpose than the DG80.

Now that we know what makes these adapters special, let’s look at the best options for PS5 owners. 1. Avantree DG80 Reset the PS5 console: If restarting doesn’t work, try resetting the console. Choose Settings > System > System software> Reset options. From there, you can select Reset your console> Reset. Let’s look at the primary considerations that go into choosing the best Bluetooth adapter for your setup. The headset offers three EQ presets to change the way the headset sounds: Astro, Studio, and Pro. Astro is the default and what we’ve got a measurement for, but Studio is meant to flatten out the frequency response for media consumption, and Pro tailors the sound to competitive gaming by draining the bass output out of the mix. These options don’t sound all that different from each other, but the Astro default sounds pretty good in most scenarios anyway. You probably won’t feel much need to switch things up, though it’s still nice to have the option. Lows, mids, and highsIn the end, it’s all about the design and extra features. If you want it to blend in, choose a model with a neutral colour scheme; if you want it to stand out, choose a model with vibrant colours! It’s usually a good idea to keep an eye out for additional bonuses, such as minimal energy usage. Process First, you'll need a pair of Bluetooth headphones, such as the AirPods Max or our personal favorite, the Creative SXFI Air. Any will work, so as long as you love them, you're good to go. Secondly, you'll need a Bluetooth adapter, either USB-C or the more common USB-A. With the PS5, there's only one USB-C port, so if you're using that for something like an external SSD or hard drive, then you'll want to snag a USB-A adapter. Thankfully, some USB-C adapters like the Creative BT-W3 Bluetooth dongle come with USB-A converters. Plug the Bluetooth dongle into a different port: The PS5’s USB-A ports feature different connection speeds (Hi-Speed and SuperSpeed), which may or may not be compatible with your Bluetooth adapter. Try plugging the adapter into a different port to see which works best. The best PS5 headsets deliver clear, crisp, and all-round excellent audio performance. They take full advantage of the PS5’s next-gen 3D audio tech and many offer premium features like active noise cancellation. If you like tinkering with sound profiles to get your headset exactly to your liking, EQ adjustment support is essential. If you’re big on multiplayer, prioritize a solid microphone and wide soundstage. Or if comfort’s your priority, make sure to get a well-padded headset that can be worn for hours at a time. Scroll to "Source" and select "PS4." In the GameDAC, press and hold the main control knob to enter the menu. Scroll to "Input" and select "PS5." An upcoming firmware for the Pro Wireless will add a PS4 source mode.

While officially, the BT-W3 is meant to work with the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, it works just fine with Sony’s latest console. One mild complaint we’ve seen with this adapter is that once you press the pairing button and enter pairing mode, it aggressively grabs whichever other device is broadcasting that it is open to pair. This can be an issue if you have other Bluetooth receivers, and you may have to turn them off or disable their pairing broadcasts.Restart the PS5 console: Sometimes, restarting your console is enough to iron out any connection issues, especially if you’ve previously connected multiple devices. To do this, force shutdown your console by holding the Power button until it beeps. Then, press the Power button again to boot up the console. There are no issues with lag here – a problem from which many early wireless earbuds suffered. And while the audio quality won’t match that of a similarly priced over-ear headset, it’s good enough that the Inzone Buds can double as your regular music earbuds, too.

Razer’s 50mm Triforce drivers sound as rich as you’d expect – singing in the mids particularly – and the quality of the headset’s build can’t be faulted. Everything from the stitching around the headband to the casing of the ear cups to the built-in pop filter of the microphone signals its premium finish. And don’t worry, those spindly arms connecting the headband and ear cups aren’t nearly as fragile as they may look. For an Arctis Pro or GameDAC, connect the USB cable from the DAC or base station to a front or rear USB-A port.

While designed primarily for the Nintendo Switch, the GENKI Audio Bluetooth 5.0 Adapter also works seamlessly with the PS5. It’s available in two attractive colors and should compliment your setup very well too. Begin by plugging your Bluetooth USB-A or USB-C transmitter into your PS5. If you went with a USB-A type transmitter, you can plug it into either the PS5’s front-facing Hi-Speed USB-A port or one of its rear-facing Super-speed (10 Gbps) USB-A ports. If you selected a USB-C type transmitter, you will need to use the sole USB Type-C port on the front of the device. Once inserted into your PS5, you can begin the pairing process with your Bluetooth headphones. Connect your Bluetooth headphones to your PS5 Jaron Schneider / Digital Trends In Audio Output, there is a selection for 3D Audio, which is enabled by default. Sony's 3D Audio provides surround sound for your headset, but it can also change the tonal characteristic of games. You may want to try playing various games with the the 3D on and off to see which way you prefer. When 3D Audio is enabled, there is also an adjustment to fine-tune the profile, depending on your ears. You can try the 5 different settings to see which sounds best to you. This adapter doesn’t support chat functions for multiplayer voice chat unless you use Avantree’s Fastream headset. As an audio-only dongle, this requires no setup or drivers if you want to use it with a Mac or a PC. It’s easy to move the dongle and your headset to whatever device you want to use, as long as they support USB audio output.
