Later, in PE, Nikki is going horseback riding and gets stuck with Buddy, the Shetland Pony that Tiffany warned her about. It felt like filler setting up for the premise of the next book, and in the end the character's seemed to be right back where they were at the beginning of the story.

Dork Diaries: Tales From a Not-So-Friendly Frenemy made me laugh and made me feel a little anxious as to how Nikki would get out of the situations. Nikki's stories have such a huge part on my childhood, and one of the many things it has taught me is that you must always look on the bright side, despite how dark and gloomy your life is turning out to be. Rachel Renee Russell is a lawyer who prefers writing children's books to legal briefs (mainly because books are a lot more fun and pyjamas and bunny slippers aren't allowed in court). While Nikki is still distraught about the program, Brianna is making chocolate pudding for her scout troop to earn her cooking badge.When they start cooking, Nikki instructs Brianna to put the popcorn bag in the microwave for four minutes, and it serves three. This book is good to read as part of the series, but as a stand-alone book I probably wouldn't recommend. I just got to school a few minutes ago, and the eighth-grade students are already buzzing about Student Exchange Week. It’s a VERY prestigious school, known for its outstanding students, rigorous academics, chic uniforms, and beautiful campus that’s a twist between Hogwarts and a five-star luxury hotel!

Nikki Maxwell's school has a student exchange program where the students all attend different schools for a week. Maybe the plot felt rushed because I read this book in one day without taking any significant breaks, but then again I strongly feel like this book was just written to bridge the gap and fill in a few plot holes before the next publication, which I'm assuming will have to do with Nikki's trip to Paris. MacKenzie reveals that she is going to do this to Nikki due to the fact that Tiffany now hates her, too and after Nikki gets expelled, Tiffany will want to be MacKenzie's BFF until MacKenzie overthrows her as the queen bee of NHH.Still guilty about leaving Patrick and the science club like that, Nikki has a run-in with a familiar face: MacKenzie. I felt as it I was part of the book because what I like about diaries is that they make you feel as if the character is speaking to you.
