For 10x magnification optics, these will be really nice for hiking because of the wide field of view too. Almost two yes later in 2016, Nikon Vision Co. Ltd, introduced another new series again into the market, called the Nikon Prostaff 3s binoculars. The models released were the 8×42 and 10×42 models and they became the latest addition to the Prostaff series. Maybe I guess is because of the much popularity the previous series had gained. The binoculars are also fog-proof, with a sealed O-ring and nitrogen-purged innards. As an all-around option at an affordable price point, these are the best binoculars you can buy today. Nikon Vision Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Nikon Corporation, is pleased to announce the release of the PROSTAFF 3S binoculars, featuring 8x42 and 10x42 models.

In a nutshell, then, the Nikon Aculon and Prostaff ranges are the ones to seek out if we want to keep our budget low yet want a reliable and simple-to-use binocular – with some Aculon binoculars being a 10th of the price of range-topping Monarch examples – while the aforementioned Monarch family is the one to investigate if we demand the very best and have the cash to invest.

While Prostaff 7s is perfect for hunters, Prostaff 3s is designed for bird watchers and tourists who like observing wildlife. Offering the perfect balance between portability, durability, and image quality, the Celestron TrailSeeker 8x42 manages to straddle the divide between affordability and quality. They offer good views across the board, with the optical highlight including a wide field of view and a close focus.

your uses. Optically the AE is good, but only in the center view, it has a nice center sweet spot but goes off They feature fully broadband multi-coated lenses, a twist up eyecup, and the same exceptional waterproof and fogproof housing unit found in many Celestron models. For the specs you get, the Trailseekers are very reasonably priced too. Edge sharpness is respectable, with a little bit of dimness and distortion near the edges. Because of the wide FOV, you can hardly see the edges anyway. Featuring ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass in its construction to improve contrast and reduce chromatic aberration and multi-coated lenses with it, the result is eye-popping image clarity, particularly when examining closer celestial objects such as the Moon.

Nikon’s line of birding binoculars typically features a durable design and comes loaded with all the right features, including top of the line optics, versatility, and waterproof and fog-proof lenses. So, it comes as no surprise that their latest pair to hit the market are up to standard and measure up to many popular birding binoculars that were produced by this manufacturer in the past. The PROSTAFF P3 series binoculars provide a wide apparent field of view (62.9° for 10x42, 62.6° for 8x30) that allows users to capture a subject easily, making these models particularly appealing to novices. Multilayer coating is applied to the lenses and high-reflectivity silver-alloy mirror coating is applied on the mirror surfaces of the prisms. All of this effectively combines to deliver a clear, bright image.

Internal reflection is more prominent in the 3s’s series binoculars which has a noticeable hazying affect on the image quality presented to the eyes. All PROSTAFF 7S binoculars feature a nitrogen-gas-filled waterproof body so that they can be used for a variety of activities, such as a safari in Africa, wildlife watching, Cruise watching, and other outdoor activities, without being affected by the weather.

While it has gained its reputation as an industry leader for its binoculars and cameras, Nikon’s contributions to the industry go beyond these products. It constantly innovates in the fields of digital imaging technology and sports optics, serving its consumers’ best, evolving interests. Best binoculars for horse racing and other sports: Sports tend to happen during the day, so a bright objective lens is less of a concern. Something like an 8x30 will hit the spot, as the 8x magnification should be plenty to see what's going on from the stand. There's no point getting something big and heavy if you don't need it! They feature a wide objective lens of 42mm with 8x and 10x variants, are lightweight and easy to carry around with their compact bodies. These calculations assume the optic is aberration-free. Supposedly certain optical aberrations will affect the apparent field of view too.

If you angle yourself against the sun a certain way, you can make out a translucent diagonal "line" that runs in the top left of the FOV. It's not a big deal though. These binoculars are armored and come with a non-slip construction, available in 8x42 and 10x42 configurations. The highly reflective silver alloy mirror coating on the surface of the prism lenses delivers a light and clear view that's comfortable to enjoy for long periods thanks to the long eye relief. Binoculars are a great alternative to a traditional telescope for observing the night sky - as long as they have enough magnification. And these incredibly well-priced Celestron binos have a huge 15x magnification which can help you to observe galaxies, planets, and lunar details. The biggest thing I'm liking now is that this binocular is just darn comfortable to look through, even with eyeglasses! The binocular is extremely well balanced and lightweight, even soo more than my Vortex Viper 10x. The ergonomics are perfect, and I would say it has a good designed eyecups + eyerelief. I would also say collimation is 100% perfect, as I can look through it many minutes on end with no eye strain or headaches. Exit pupils are nice and round.

Sometimes you might not get the best view while looking through the Prostaff 7s binoculars as compared to 3s binoculars when you are using your glasses due to shorter eye relief. Prism Type Overall, the Prostaff 7s and 3s are suitable for a wide range of applications. Whether you’re going sightseeing in the Grand Canyon, attending a live concert or watching a football match, these optics equipment will really come in handy.
