Description

In terms of design and build, both the 4 Pro and the Pro 2 share similarities. They are constructed with lightweight aerospace aluminum, providing a balance of durability and portability. Increased torque from its higher wattage motor. Greater range thanks to the increased capacity battery vs the vanilla M365 or 1S Xiaomi's.

Interestingly, the Max climbs a bit worse at 11°, and that’s likely because of its bigger weight of 19 kg / 42 lbs, which is about 5 kg / 10 lbs more than the Pro 2. That is not a trivial difference in weight, and for many, that will be too much to carry (plus, the Max takes up more space as well).

Even though the version number of the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 3 is higher, it will still come with significantly less range than the Pro 2, and less performance overall, most notably climbing power, even though the motor power should be the same on paper. The Xiaomi 3 seems to have been made less performant on purpose so it will be street-legal internationally. Most of the other specs will be comparable or identical. Xiaomi Mi Pro 2 vs Xiaomi 1S

The Xiaomi Mi Pro 2 weighs 14.2 kg / 31.3 lbs, the same as its predecessor. That is the average weight for a commuter scooter today across all budget models. The first thing you may notice about the Pro 2 and Max G30 is that they actually look very similar. This is because both are manufactured by Ninebot and based on the original Xiaomi 365 Pro. For instance, the battery is housed in the base of both scooters, they both have a top speed of 25 km/h and three riding modes. Their LCD displays are also the same, being based on the original M365 Pro. The dash shows your speed, battery level and mode, as well as things like bluetooth. BUY PRO 2 BUY MAX G30Unfortunately, nor the Xiaomi M365 Pro nor the Xiaomi Pro 2 have any kind of suspension, which would make riding its electric scooters much more comfortable. In its place are pneumatic tyres, which in practice introduce a little ‘give’, and make them rideable over bumpy terrain. The Ninebot Max may be a better choice for the more advanced riders. It could be great as your second scooter. You can see the Ninebot Max review if you want to read more. Known issues The explosion-proof pneumatic 8.5-inch tires are one of the major points of improvement compared to the Xiaomi M365 Pro model. The old model was notoriously prone to flats, and they were difficult to fix as well. The Pro 2 comes with stronger, puncture-resistant tires that have proven so far to be a lot more durable. And even better, they don’t sacrifice ride comfort at all! If the features are little more than refined on the Xiaomi Pro 2 compared to the Xiaomi M365 Pro, the same goes for performance. Both have a reasonably long base plate that makes them easy to control, and though which mode you use will depend on your weight and the terrain in the area you’re going to ride your electric scooter, both have plenty of power. The Xiaomi Pro 2 and the Ninebot-Segway Max G30 are two popular e-scooters in a similar market space but just how do they compare and, if you have the money to splash out on one, which should you buy? This brief guide will give you the details to help you choose between the two scooters, focusing on the similarities and differences between the Xiaomi Pro 2 and Ninebot-Segway Max G30.

However, if you already own a M365 Pro, we wouldn’t recommend trading it in for a Pro 2 just yet. Yes, there are some nice safety additions such as reflectors and stronger lights and other extras but, on the whole, I don’t feel it’s enough to justify the upgrade of what is essentially the same e-scooter. Reflectors replace the red strips on the sides of the wheel frame and the mudguard is stronger and covers more of the wheel than on the M365 Pro. The front light is a little bigger, too, more powerful at 2W than its predecessor at 1.1W and brighter, now illuminating up to ten metres ahead of you. Segway is a little on the expensive side, but they do make great scooters with excellent build and smooth performance. Meanwhile, Kugoo has the art of building rugged commuting electric scooters that feel also feel luxurious to ride on. Finally, you can count on Pure and Xiaomi to give you the best value for your money. Can I ride an electric scooter in the rain?

That very much depends on the electric scooter model you have and the ingress protection (IP) rating it has. Most commuter electric scooters have protection against water jets from all directions, which gives them an IPX5 or IPX6 rating. However, those aren't recommended to use during rain, especially heavy downpours, most likely in case you encounter flooding. A top-notch braking system is very, very important for your safety. Some of the best e-scooters have a simple braking system while a few of the more robust ones come with a dual one, which is much more reliable and safer for riders. That's especially if you live in a hilly area. This may vary based on the merchant, but typically you should get a 2-year warranty and a return period of 30 days. The Xiaomi scooter line and brand Other than that, the riding experience is fast and smooth, with the sensitive thumb throttle proving easy to modulate, something that can’t be said for many rivals. There’s also a powerful rear hydraulic disc brake and regenerative braking in the front wheel motor, ensuring stopping distances are short. The scooter has many reflector lights placed on various important places on the scooter – two yellow ones on each of the sides in the rear, another two yellow ones on the sides in the front, and a white one in the front of the stem.
