Description

Comparing the modelling lamps, the AD600Pro comes out on top with a 38W COB LED, compared to the 30W COB LED on the AD400Pro. The 100Ws of power is suitable to fill a softbox and so can be used with a range of modifiers and still produce an excellent effect within your work. In summary, though, it feels like a good solid light, and it seems to have all the features that were added to the AD600 Pro in a recent firmware.

We have tried to cover all of the features, the specifications, the pros and the cons of every flash unit in the AD range so far, including the AD100 Pro. So, let's start with the newest of the AD series. AD100 Pro You box will now boot up with driver signing disabled and Secure Boot turned off, and G1 should now be able to recognize your Godox device over USB. Once you restart the box, both driver signing and Secure Boot are re-enabled. On speaking with Paul, he felt that it was a similar sort of power output to his older Godox AD600BM. We put this down to the better bulb placement on the AD400 Pro. You can find the wireless triggers here– they are brand specific for Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fuji, Pentax, Olympus and Panasonic. The foam in the bag could be better designed to be able to make better use of the empty space after you remove the bulb & Bowens adapter and fit them onto the strobe The Godox AD400 Pro TTL Witstro Flash Head is a versatile flash unit that is designed for outdoor and location use in mind. This model offers 400Ws with 9 steps of power output which ranges from 1/1 to 1/256. It's powered 2600mAh lithium-Ion battery that offers up to 390 full-powered flashes on a single charge with a recycle time of just 0.9 seconds - Perfect for location shoots where you don't want to have to worry about battery consumption. There's also a 30W LED modelling lamp that will help you effectively manipulate your light. The unit has an integrated 2.4 GHz wireless X system with a range of 100m. This system is compatible with Godox X triggers but also fully supports Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm & Olympus TTL systems. The AD400Pro TTL Studio Flash can be controlled with full TTL, HSS, and remote manual power control with the GODOX XPRO, X1, and X2 (PIXAPRO ST-IV, ST-III or ST-III+) transmitters (To get the most out of your AD400PRO400 we recommend the XPro Trigger). The AD400 Pro comes with an S-fit mount allowing you to fit all Godox S-fit accessories onto your light as well as other modifiers with a standard S-fit mount. The flash boasts a Colour Priority Mode where white balance fluctuations will not exceed +/-75K and in standard mode the white balance is rated at 5600+/-200K.

The AD600 Pro also offers a very powerful modeling lamp, meaning that this light can also be used as a video light alongside its flash capabilities! Offering a 38w light, as well as a 4-hour battery life from a single charge, the AD600 Pro is a great tool for both videography and flash photography.

Godox has confirmed to me that tenth stop adjustments will remain a “Pro” model only feature, so it will not be coming to the AD200, AD360II nor the Godox range of speedlights. Of course, they hadn’t told us about the new round head speedlight then. Godox hasn’t said yet whether or not that one will offer 1/10th stop adjustments. The only way to fix a mismatch like this is to reload the proper firmware image, but this depends on the device being able to recognize the firmware update request, and sometimes the correct/current firmware image you need is not available. Requesting the firmware from your retailer or Godox may be your only recourse. G1, G2, or G3 The AD400Pro TTL Studio Flash Series Features new re-designed flash tubes with a colour consistency of 5600K +75k.The advanced built-in Lithium-ion battery has been designed for performance, making it more reliable than ever when shooting. It will recycle 400w/s in 0.9 seconds. This Godox AD400 Pro TTL will give you 390 full power shots. LIGHTWEIGHT AND PORTABLE: The process of adjusting to TTL, Manual, or Multimode is straightforward, and it is easy to customise the settings and play around with different lighting effects – these can all be adjusted using the side control panel on both units. Also, the .rar format has changed in recent updates so you may simply need to update your archiving application (e.g., update Winzip to the latest version). Or you can use the latest version of the open source 7Zip. Disable driver signing [Windows 10, G1]
