Samsung is by any measure one of the best, if not the best manufacturer of Android-powered phones in the world. The market position of the company has meant that it has built a loyal fan base - and that is a fan base that is growing all the time. One of the reasons for this loyal following is, without doubt, the sheer variety of phones (both legacy and new) that it makes available to consumers - led by its S Series models. The Note 8 supports Samsung DeX, which I reviewed using the Galaxy S8+. The fact that this phone is powerful enough to support an almost proper desktop PC experience is seriously impressive. A few side notes before we move on. These numbers were scored on an Exynos 8895 unit. Also, for the sake of thoroughness, we ran the tests in 2220 x 1080 pixels and 1480 x 720 pixels modes as well. The minor differences we recorded were in the minutes, and are well within the margin of error of the tests. Perhaps an alternative usage pattern might lead to some meaningful advantages of going low-res, but our experience doesn't point in that direction. We guess one such potential scenario is gaming, but then again you already had the option to limit resolution for games specifically within Game launcher. This falls in line with what we observed while testing the S8 and S8+, as well as re-testing the S7 and S7 edge after the Android Nougat update introduced the option to adjust the resolution. Graphics performance, as you can expect, is exemplary. The Note 8 breezed past the GFXBench Manhattan 3.0 test, scoring a 42fps average at native resolution, and 64fps offscreen at 1080p. This’ll run any Android game you throw at it, no question. In its regular power mode mode, I’d be highly concerned that the Note 8’s 3300mAh battery wouldn’t get me through a full day of web browsing, social media, streaming music and taking photos.Since the Note8 shares most of its internals with the S8 pair, it is only natural for connectivity options to carry over as well. The phones are basically identical in this department. Just like with the Infinity Display, the Note8 can't really make a bold claim and capitalize on being first on the scene to break the 1gb/s LTE mark. It is still an amazing accomplishment, though. Both the Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 utilize LTE-A (4CA) Cat16 1024/150 Mbps modems. Yes, both chips are not only very close performance-wise, but should be equally capable of sustaining blazing fast network speeds (as long as your carrier supports them.) It's worth noting that the Exynos 8895 version supports 5 carrier aggregation, while its Qualcomm counterpart has to get by with 4. In practice, you likely won't be able to reach that high anytime soon so we wouldn't fret over this detail too much. Booking a Samsung Note 8 repair with Timpson is easy-peasy. Just follow the five simple steps below and we’ll have it fixed before you know it. Battery life: Up to 6 hours per day of 'screen on' time for the Note 9 (may be improved by Note 10 when released) Of course, beyond wired connectivity, the Note8 has its Smart View interface to support an assortment of wireless display sharing protocols, including Miracast and Google's proprietary Chromecast. MirrorLink is also part of the mix. If you have already invested in something like a compatible car entertainment system, the phone upgrade won't break your setup.

The Samsung Note Series of phablets has long been recognised as one of the most powerful models in the Samsung smartphone lineup. Given the features that the Series boasts - and the new and improved functionality of the latest models this is hardly a surprise. You have come to depend on your Samsung J series smartphone, but over time, your battery will no longer hold its charge. Purchasing a new authentic OEM battery from us ensures your smartphone version will continue workingand charging is a breeze! In keeping with Samsung's typical marketing, there are both single and dual SIM versions of the Note8 out there. Region dependent, of course. Unlike with recent Galaxy A models however, the tray here employs a hybrid design. This could potentially be a problem for anyone that doesn't trust the cloud, and it still has high storage requirements - higher than the provided 64GB at any rate.I had a day out in which I browsed the web on the phone for a couple of hours, took maybe 50 photos and did about 15 minutes of Maps navigation, and by the end of the day I was scrabbling for a charger. Things did get better though, and throughout the majority of the review I was averaging 5 hours of screen-on time. This isn’t a bad number, but I would expect something more substantial for a phone of this size. This means that the Note 9 can cope with the enormous processing power, functionality and magnificent screen it brings to the market. Consumers are eagerly awaiting the Note 10 which is rumoured to have a 4,500mAh battery - and the fastest charge time of any previous Samsung model. However, the Note Series from Samsung are by no means cheap - and batteries do lose their ability to store charge over time. The metal components used to supply power degrade over the lifetime of the smartphone. It is estimated that after around 400 charge/drain cycles a smartphone battery capacity will lose its ability to store charge by around 20%. It's probably more due to the consumer habit of charging prior to letting the cell run down completely. Given that Samsung mobile phone owners are going to hold on to their Notes for longer - they want to know that they can easily replace their Note batteries. If its extra pen and camera features interest you, the Note 8 is undoubtedly a decent buy if you can stomach learning how to use power-saving modes. Verdict So, if you are not willing to spend hundreds on a new phone because of a faulty battery, do visit our store because we sell genuine Samsung A series batteries at unbelievable prices. The Always On display feature was always going to be a battery drainer, no two ways about it. Samsung's claim that it would cost you 1% per hour seems about right, and it does leave a huge dent in the overall endurance rating.

Just like screen brightness, the higher your display’s resolution is, the higher power consumption becomes. While we think Samsung’s attempt to provide users with options when it comes to screen resolution is good, there’s not enough attempt to educate users of the downside when using higher resolution. There are three screen resolutions that you can use: That means we’re treated to a massive 6.3in QHD+ display – 0.6in larger than last year’s effort – and it’s a great screen. Just like the Galaxy S8 and S8+ before it, it benefits from Samsung’s Super AMOLED technology, so we’re getting effectively perfect contrast levels and an image quality like no other. Samsung’s power-saving modes are among the best I’ve ever used, with each one customisable to your exact wants and needs. But I’d much prefer it if I could ignore them and have a phone that I could use all day.

Samsung might have been a little bit late to the USB Type-C party, but at least the Korean giant took the time to get the implementation right on the S8 pair. The Note8 borrows the same excellent setup. That is to say, a fast USB 3.1 data link, behind the port, capable of speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s. However, the real icing on the cake lies in the phone's support for video output through a cable connection to the port - an increasingly rare feature, even among flagships. Samsung Galaxy devices tend to collect “gestures” over the years. Some of them may be useful, but majority are not that necessary at all. We don’t know how many users use certain gestures on their devices but if you don’t, we suggest that you make sure they’re not enabled. Examples of gestures you may not use are Pop-up view gesture, Magnification gesture, etc. Versions: N950F (Single SIM: Europe, Australia); N950FD (Global Dual SIM: Europe, LATAM, Brazil; Australia); N950U/U1 (USA); N950W (Canada); N9500 (China); N950N (South Korea) A common question when looking for Samsung mobile phone batteries, is what does mAh mean? In short, it stands for milliamp hours the larger the mAh, the larger the capacity of the battery which means the unit could potentially last longer. Wi-Fi performance is fine, although it’s still not as fast at switching and connecting to networks as Huawei phones. Call quality is excellent, too.

Case in point: after putting the Note 8 to the test with our X-Rite colour calibrator, we found it covers 98.2% of the sRGB colour gamut space. With an average delta E of 1.49 (anything less than 1.5 is preferred), the Note 8 produces wholly accurate colours across the board, even if images are a tad overexposed. Whatever the cost it is worth the investment. Make sure to source parts from a reputable dealer like ourselves - and ensure that your Samsung Note is an asset that continues to provide exceptional functionality and value. The popularity of the S Series is based on incredible design, cutting-edge technology and ease of use. However, as phones get more powerful - as has been the case with the latest S Series releases, so consumers have become more concerned with how Samsung's batteries will cope with the load. The Samsung S Series has always boasted great battery life - Samsung's latest - the S1- is no different. The 4,100 mAh battery with fast wireless charging (2.0) and Wireless PowerShares is no different. It has received compliments from reviewers for its superior battery life. But the sad fact of the matter is that the longer a phone is owned - the less the efficiency of the battery. It's simply a problem of chemistry. The metals used to provide power degrade over time as a result of use. It is estimated that after around 400 cycles a phone's battery capacity will degrade by 20%. In reality, it's probably more due to erratic charging cycles. Given that Samsung mobile phone owners are now holding onto their phones for longer - this can be an issue. And, because this is an AMOLED panel, contrast levels are unbeatable, at a perfect Infinity:1, and maximum brightness reaches a respectable 330cd/m2. Switch on adaptive brightness, and that figure creeps up to a blinding 981cd/m2. No more squinting at your Facebook feed in direct sunlight. WHERE r1.product_id = p.product_id AND r1.status = '1' GROUP BY r1.product_id) AS rating, ( SELECT COUNT(*) AS totalThe smaller manufacturing process also typically means improved power efficiency, so we should have expected to see the 3,300mAh battery last a decent bout longer than its competitors. If Samsung’s previous launches were anything to go by, I certainly didn’t expect to see battery life cut. The Samsung A Series Batteries that we provide are bound to last for hours. You can rely on them because they are tested rigorously by experts. There are a few more reasons why our Samsung A Series Batteries are worth every penny:
