The operating temperature shows the safe temperature range (from minimum to maximum), within which the display will function flawlessly. Outside this range it might operate improperly and/or fail entirely. The LG 27GP950-B’s pixel response time is excellent so you won’t need to use too much overdrive to avoid blurring and persistence. Using the Normal overdrive level is already enough in avoiding this issue. Setting it too high will induce visible overshoot which will ruin your visual experience. If someone comes across a different type of panel or their LG 27GP950doesn't correspond to our review, let us know and we'll update the review. Note that some tests, like gray uniformity, may vary between individual units. The LG 27GN950-B has the thinnest bezel we’ve seen to date, just 5mm at the top and sides and 10mm on the bottom. While not truly frameless, it’s closer to that goal than any other monitor we know of. There really aren't really many negatives to talk about at all. The local dimming isn't always flawless, and we do wish there was some rotation built into the base, but again we can live without that. Just minor quibbles.

Panel uniformity for the LG 27GP950-B could also use some improvements since there were noticeable clouding issues in dark scenes. This is less of an issue in full-color scenes but got annoying as soon as the screen dimmed down. Note that this varies between units due to the nature of IPS technology, so there are better ones out there. Information about whether the stand can be dismounted. Usually, this is required for wall mounting. We're also big fans of the Samsung M8 Smart Monitor, which again offers a 4K resolution and throws in a whole host of extras as well. You can run streaming apps right from the monitor itself, and it comes with integrated speakers, so it's sort of like having a smart TV and a monitor in one unit. The pricing is fairly similar to the LG offering too. Calibrating the LG 27GP950-B resulted in an even more impressive dE average of only 0.45 which makes it usable for editing work. You will need a colorimeter to get a result like this, and those don’t come cheap. You should be okay with the default setting plus a few minor tweaks for pure gaming, so don’t spend the extra unless you are into color-critical work. The storage humidity shows the lower and upper humidity limit, which ensures safe storage of the display. Storing it outside these limits might damage the display.Approximate height of the display. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the height is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio. I got this monitor, because I wanted something to use for work and some occasional gaming. I have a 2018 Intel MacBook Pro and a 2019 HP Omen (i7-8750H, RTX 2060 6GB). The stand offers a 4.4-inch height adjustment with 5/15 degree tilt and a portrait mode. There is no swivel function. Movements are very solid and feel like a premium monitor should.

Information about the maximum amount of time, in which the pixels change from one color to another. Color is always in the P3 gamut, regardless of picture mode. Selecting sRGB reduces saturation a little but not enough to qualify as a true sRGB monitor. We also lowered Contrast a little to improve gamma and fix a red clipping issue at 100% brightness. Note that any change to gamma requires recalibration of the white point. The LG 27GP950-B renders more than 100% sRGB and around 96% DCI-P3 for stunning color and vibrancy. It’s pre-calibrated out of the box, resulting in a deltaE average of only 1.97 using its default settings. most users won’t need to calibrate this monitor since the screen is already balanced so color deviances won’t be noticeable. We tested the LG 27GP950-B 27 inchgaming monitor, which is part of LG's UltraGear gaming lineup and is one of the only onesthat supports HDMI 2.1 bandwidth. There are many other monitors in LG's UltraGear lineup with various configurations, some of which you can see in the table below. As they each have different specs, this review isn't valid for any of the other models. There's also a successor to this model, known as the LG 32GQ950-B, which features a larger screen. Model Information about whether there is a possibility for wall mounting according to the VESA Mounting Interface Standard (MIS).HDMI 2.1 monitors are the only exception, with high demand and short supply still impacting many electronics manufacturers right now. While we've seen the odd savings, don't expect significant price cuts on these until later in the year, at the earliest. While we're also seeing the first OLED monitors, we're yet to see a model with good support for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S features.
