While the maximum size support for motherboards is microATX, you can get a good deal on older boards that work with powerful Intel processors for running Plex Media Server, virtual instances, and other server-related tasks. There are also some good gaming motherboards in this segment that will make for great PC foundations. We've said it before but it bears repeating: desktop systems are getting smaller. ATX is becoming less and less necessary, and mini-ITX-based machines more and more offer the same performance and features that their bigger brothers do. That's just the direction of the technology industry as a whole, cramming everything we need into a space half as large. What's specific to cases is their own evolution running parallel with the technology we're putting into them. You can immediately see from the photo that some things are missing. Fractal Design has ditched the optical drive bay entirely and saved a lot of space in the process. You may not have noticed that there's also no reset button; HDD activity and power are both handled by the same single blue front LED. Ventilation is pretty minimal, too. Fractal Design took their usual aesthetic and a lot of chutzpah and produced something remarkably unique. Fractal Design Node 304 Specifications The same rules apply if you take out two of the drive cages to squeeze in a 310mm graphics card. To get anywhere near a tidy build in the Node 304 a modular PSU is a must. The Fractal Design 804 is actually a fairly old PC case at this point, but I'm reviewing it more as a NAS or server chassis than a PC, though you can absolutely set up a gaming PC using this thing. In fact, after removing the HDD cages, you could even go all out with some custom water-cooling, should you be feeling particularly adventurous.

I'm in the process of building my first freenas and am super excited! I'll admit I'm a newbie when it comes to building machines and was hoping you guys could help me out. My NAS specs are: The size of this is only a bit larger than the Sugo's. This case isn't a monstruo like the Prodigy, either. I can see this as being a pretty good case. I'm digging the brushed aluminum, too. yyrkoon - Tuesday, November 27, 2012 - link May as well call it 300W peak after adding a HDD, and optical drive. a Tad more with an SSD in addition. The fix is to change (what is currently) line 37 of node-fresh/index.js from if (cc && cc.indexOf('no-cache') !== -1) return false;

One of the best cube PC cases for building your own server.

Flushing your operating system’s DNS is also relatively simple. Follow the steps below if you use Windows – it’s applicable for Windows XP, 7, Vista, 8, 8.1, or 10: Those threats may interrupt or interfere with your system, including the header request. To identify and remove the threats from your system, run a malware scan. Update: It seems like this problem occurs because Safari sends 'cache-control': 'max-age=0' on reload. Swedish case designer Fractal Design's Node 304 is aimed solely at the mini-ITX market, but boasts hard drive support that could have it being used as a file server or a large multi-disk NAS unit.

This one's a fairly standard looking cube-style mini-ITX case, the likes of which we've seen plenty of in the past from Lian Li, SilverStone and a host of budget/re-branded models besides. However, the Node 304 isn't without innovation - it has plenty of interesting features but read on if you're thinking about adding it to your shortlist. Regarding GPU: Have you thought of RX480 8GB? It's priced similarly to 1060, has a larger framebuffer and has a slight advantage in DX12 and Vulkan over GTX1060. Having though this through, I decided that getting a modular ATX PSU is pointless. It raises the price and only results in compatibility issues in Node 304. :/I spoke with Fractal about the problem after testing that my 3rd party extension worked fine and following their advice seems to have fixed it for me, was a little unsure at first though: The problem i'm running into is with the fans connections. The case comes with a fan controller but there is no plugs on the power supply to plug in the 4 pin molex connector to power case fan controller. It first came out without the support of dual-slot cards. Because it most likely only needed to fit a RAID card...

A new window will pop up. Select the Time range – if you want to clear up everything, choose All Time. Mopar63 - (Magnetic replacement gpu filter) The filter I am using is for the Corsair 400R but it fits perfectly. I have actually removed the filter provides by Fractal and use this one only and am having great results. I am seeing temp 3 to4c lower on my video card and it will allow some cards with 2.5 slot coolers to work where before they were loud. I use standard hardware, but you WILL be able to fit a GTX 560 Ti (albeit probably barely) or even a 680 in this case if you put a smaller PSU in. When it comes to choosing a power supply and GPU there are a few things to be aware of. The case supports graphics cards up to 160mm long but by removing one of the drive cages you can squeeze in a card that's 170mm - but only if you use a shorter power supply.

As you said, Safari sends Cache-Control: max-age=0 on reload. Express (or more specifically, Express's dependency, node-fresh) considers the cache stale when Cache-Control: no-cache headers are received, but it doesn't do the same for Cache-Control: max-age=0. From what I can tell, it probably should. But I'm not an expert on caching. The top plays host to four fan mounts as well as a filter cover while the rear of the Node 804 is a similar PC case affair with five horizontal PCI slots and two fan mounts. Being a cube design, you can get away with additional airflow through the rear panel whilst having room for an ATX power supply to be fitted.
