The second part of the Dark Imperium trilogy follows Mortarion as he brings the battle directly to his brother on the plains of Parmenio. As with Dark Imperium , this version is revised and available in eBook for German readers. After failing to do so once more following the T'au's great victory during the Prefectia Campaign, Kor'sarro next hunted the T'au supreme commander during the Second Agrellan Campaign, again without success. Though he would have remained no matter the cost until his oath was fulfilled or he was slain by the T'au, a call from the White Scars Chapter Master Jubal Khan came from Chogoris. Elsewhere, Shadowsun tasked Swiftflame with engaging the Raven Guard around Ventur Scar. The Sons of Corax were inflicting heavy losses on Air Caste patrols and convoys, gaining the attention of Admiral Skychild. Swiftflame was able to eventually intercept the Raven Guard Gunships, using a single Razorshark as a lure. The ambush worked, and a vicious aerial battle erupted that saw the Raven Guard escape thanks to the arrival of Thunderhawks. Soonafter Swiftflame was forced to withdraw as well and for the next several days the dance of trap and counter-trap continued between the Tau and Raven Guard. [1e]

Phil: Commander Shadowsun has the practiced poise and confidence of a gold medallist, but it’s lonely at the top. Slow to anger but slow to forgive, she only really has a close relationship with her drones, Oe-ken-yon and Oe-hei (an endearingly brave and faithful duo, or so it seems at first). Since her relationship with her old bond-mates broke down on Mount Kan’ji, she’s pushed people away. As you can see, the list is very long. Personally, I will be using Re’vas, Makhotep, Aleph-Null, Angrax, and Nauseous Rotbone or Maladus, but you can craft whatever team you please. Shadowsun: The Patient Hunter is Phil Kelly’s first deep exploration of the illustrious T’au commander and the forces that drive her, from the same pen that brought you Farsight: Crisis of Faith and Empire of Lies . This novel takes an unprecedented look at the present-day struggles of the T’au Empire after the opening of the Great Rift,Telemon Heavy Dreadnought [14 PL, -1CP, 260pts]: Iliastus Accelerator Culverin, Stratagem: Eternal Penitent Tau’s initial success was one of the big headlines from the weekend, but the incredible surge in Custodes performance was definitely the other, and Vincent here emerged as the most successful of the many, many players of the faction at Beachhead. Custodes have broken out rapidly enough that some of what here is increasingly standard – pretty much every build is sporting two or three Bike units, Trajann and one or both of the two super Shield Captain builds, and usually a couple of solo-Allarus, but this list has a couple of unusual elements as well. Farsight pilots an XV86 Battlesuit with a number of improvements, including an advanced Hazard Suite developed during the Arkunasha War and armed with a Plasma Rifle. [7] Since his experience on Arthas Moloch, he wields the mysterious Dawn Blade of unknown origin. [4g] The Eight A final great clash in this hunt erupted on the ash-strewn wilderness of Prefectia, with Solaq finally cornering Aun'Do. Just as the last of the Ethereal Guard fell, the Ethereal managed to activate a force shield to protect himself long enough to be air-lifted to safety by Orca. Solaq was seething with fury. [1a]

Commander Shadowsun illuminates one of the major problems with the Tau codex- even the “good” units in it simply don’t function for the most part in 9th Edition, because they are attempting to play a version of the game that no longer exists. 9E is all about scoring, mobility, and resilience, and Shadowsun and her friends simply cannot compete in those arenas in any meaningful way. It isn’t even that she is one-dimensional, as she actually has a wide variety of abilities to support various playstyles, but none of the things she does can be followed through to a successful game plan in most cases, so she ends up being just another disappointing shelf weight. The Drukhari already love to raid voidcraft for business and pleasure, and the Arks of Omen have only spilled blood in the water. A Succubus leads 20 Wyches in Boarding Patrol: Drukhari, accompanied by a band of five sinister Incubi. Boarding Patrol: Grey Knights Now you might think this was an entirely bad tale, but no. When you ignore the canon and character problems to focus upon the plot you can see talented writing. Elements both major and minor are introduced long before they come into play in a very fluid manner, both keeping up the novella’s fast pace and allowing for rapid development. Furthermore the book is extremely tightly and well-structured in how each event builds and flows into one another, creating the sense of a much greater story than would usually be allowed for such a small number of words. Unfortunately neither of these mean much when the novella’s content has so many problems, leaving the infrequent battle scenes only aspects to truly appreciate.

Crisis Shas’ui [55pts]: Cyclic Ion Blaster [10pts], Early Warning Override, Plasma Rifle [5pts], Plasma Rifle [10pts] The Goddess then grabbed hold of the Nephylum and held it in place, which caused Lord Glurtosk to lose his mind. [1i] After that boring stuff is out of the way we can begin to bring the details into the model. The wear is pretty simple, Dryad Bark then Stormhost Silver both applied with a torn piece of foam. Then we can finish up the main materials with an extreme highlight, with this step you can also recover any important edge highlights that were obscured by the damage. Here at Warhammer Community we’ll be covering a crop of truly magnificent reveals from AdeptiCon, starting with the latest Warhammer Preview Online. The festivities start in the early morning for UK and European fans – here’s when you have to wake up (it’ll be worth it). We’ll also be streaming the best bits from the tournament.

An overwhelming volley of Gauss Weapons fire destroyed the White Scars' Thunderhawks moments after they landed, leaving Khan and his battle-brothers to fight a bold, but doomed, series of hit-and-run battles. Almost all of the White Scars were slain on the Uzme Plateau, but Zahndrekh commanded that Kor'sarro Khan be spared and imprisoned. So did Kor'sarro begin a peculiar period of captivity beneath the surface of Cano'var. Phil: Big stompy mechs . Well, that and the fact the usual dynamic of rationalism versus superstition is entirely reversed in 40k. That never gets old for me, seeing high-tech scientist types match wits with the gnarly, ancient horrors of the Empyrean. Also cutting-edge battlesuits fighting greater daemons is just a joy to write. Kor'sarro Khan, Captain of the 3rd Fellowship of the White Scars Chapter, wielding his power sword Moonfang. Sneak into the Arks of Omen and cause some big green havoc with Boss Snikrot and his boyz. Boarding Patrol: Orks is a musclebound collection of tough-as-nails fighters led by the legendary Kommando Boss sporting a brand new model. In addition to Snikrot, you’ll board with five Flash Gitz, 10 Beast Snagga Boyz, and 10 Kommandos – who also drag along a reluctant Kommando Grot and far-too-enthusiastic Bomb Squig for the ride.* Boarding Patrol: Aeldari When I apply the basing paste I sculpt the waves as the water effects I use are thin so the underlying shape will show through. I am aware that there are products for sculpting waves but for these small ones it works pretty well and is pretty low effort.Following the Damocles Crusade, Aun'va recommended an expedition to rekindle hope and spirit in the empire, which had been dwindling since the bloody war against the Imperium. In the ensuing Farsight Expedition, Farsight led an enormous Tau fleet across the Damocles Gulf, going into frozen stasis to avoid aging during the long trip. [4f] In the ensuing campaign on the far side of the Damocles Gulf, Farsight was initially beaten at every turn by Grog Ironteef, the Ork Warchief of Alsanta. A frustrated O'Shovah nonetheless eventually was able to defeat Grog, and pursued scattered Ork forces to the world of Arthas Moloch. There, Farsight encountered a terrifying new enemy in the form of Chaos Daemons which emerged from a mysterious portal erected on a great Dais. During the battle, all of Farsights accompany Ethereals were killed by gruesome creatures, and Farsight was only able to attain victory thanks to discovering a mysterious blade he used to close the portal, though he was briefly overcome by extreme bloodlust [12]. The experience of battling these foes and gazing into their sinister portal rattled O'Shovah, who realized there were far greater threats than the Ethereal's were telling him. [4g] Moondrakkan - The Assault Bike Moondrakkan was originally commissioned for the 4th Master of the Hunt. This ancient bike is a relic of the White Scars Chapter and has served as a versatile mechanical steed for numerous Masters of the Hunt over many millennia. Fitted with powerful engines, bulletproof tires and a formidable armament, Moondrakkan has been lovingly maintained by the Chapter's Techmarines and have served the Masters of the Hunt well in their neverending quests to chase down their quarry in the midst of a hunt. For what I know reading other places about Tau (Fire Caste) and Shadowsun I don't think she and they would behave at times as they did. Quite weak. Maybe for a newcomer to the game it doesn't really matter but to me it does since I consider BL as Canon to GW worlds.
