Our panel of over 160 testers tried a range of eco sanitary pads and liners, including a mix of reusables and sustainably made and fully biodegradable disposables, during their period. They assessed absorbency and comfort levels, as well as how protected they felt from leakage. Very good and supportive undies. They’re comfortable and gave me the confidence of going out on day 2. No one wants to feel like they’re wearing Pampers during their period, which is why these organic cotton pads, with compostable wrapping were a hit for us. Their seamless fit and thin design make them discreet, but they still absorb a decent amount of liquid without leakage.

Our go-to supermarket brand has had an eco update, switching to a new organic cotton design that’s also free from fragrances, dyes and chlorine bleaching. We rated their absorbency, making them a reliable choice to wear at night, and we didn’t experience irritation either. To wash, simply rinse under cold water and then pop them in your normal darks wash. They may seem pricey at first but they can last up to five years – just think of it as an investment.

Absolutely love these period pants! I was dubious as I’ve never used them before. They are incredibly comfortable, great coverage for any leaks, and I love the design. The material is really soft also. Really impressed and I’m annoyed I didn’t get them sooner!

Our FLO and glo pads and liners are wrapped in 100% plant-based, plastic-free & compostable wrappers. Great product. Lovely pants, no leaks even with a super heavy flow. Bought for my daughter on a bogof deal. Should have doubled up but she is so happy with them, she is going to buy more. Like a tampon, in the ocean menstrual pads often act like a sponge, but instead of absorbing blood, they absorb harmful chemicals that can be toxic to the ocean’s fragile ecosystem. Sizing is completely off. I’m normally a UK size 12/14, they recommend sizing up so I went for the large (apparently a UK size 16/18). Looking at the label apparently they are a UK size 16/18, a US size 8 (which is a UK 12) and a EU size 40 (also a UK 12). A size 12 seems about right and they are a little on the snug side, which I wasn’t expecting given I went large and isn’t what I wanted from the product.

Super soft and comfy, don’t slide down, no leaks or awkward VLP in leggings AND good for the environment too; no need for tampons/pads again!
