The other players take it in turns to read out the same value on their card. Whichever player with the card that has the highest value wins that round and gets to keep the other player's cards from the round, placing them at the bottom of their pile along with the card they've just played. Then it's time to get creative. We recommend raiding the arts and crafts supplies box so that children have the chance to make their cards distinctive and unique. Felt tips, crayons, colouring pencils, and even glitter are all good options. Once you've decided the theme and handed the templates out to the children the first task is cutting out each card. This is a great opportunity for children to practice those fine motor skills. Playing a game with this 'Make Your Own Top Trumps' resource is easy, all you need is a set of cards and at least 2 players. First, deal all the cards face down and make sure they're shared out equally across players. Once they've been shared out each player should keep their cards face down and draw a card from the top of their pile.

Really, the biggest reason the Super Mario Trump Match Board Game isn’t annoying is the self-containment red case it comes with. This case stores everything in a really compact solution and the game itself is super easy for even young children to setup and understand. Making the only annoying part of this game the actual losing of the board game to your kids or them whining when they lose; but that is life! To decide who goes first you could flip a coin. Alternatively, it's common for the youngest person playing to start off, or whoever is sitting to the left of the dealer. Once it's been decided who is going first, that person chooses the value on their card they think is the most likely to be the higher than what the other players have and reads it out.

The other question we always try to answer is how dangerous these toys can be. There isn’t much to be worried about in terms of danger when it comes to the Mario Cube Matching Board game – but there are a couple of things that could happen. You could even make your own top trumps style card game to help children remember the properties of 3D shapes in a maths class. Just fill each one out with a picture of a different shape and then try filling in the blank fields with "Number of sides", "Number of corners", and "Number of faces". A Step by Step Guide to Making Your Own Top Trumps Style Cards: The winner from that round gets to take the next turn and choose a value from the next card in their pile and the game repeats. It continues like this until one player has won all the other players' cards, which means they've won the game. For an extra professional finish, we recommend busting out the lamenter. This will not only make the cards look amazing when finished, but it will also help keep them clean and organised when children play with them. There are also different characters cards of each character represented on those cubes. Each player is going to draw two cards, and the goal of the game is to match the cubes with the characters you have drawn. You want to match 5 cubes in a row either diagonally, vertically, or horizontally. When you match 5 cubes in a row you get to keep that card and draw a new one. First to match 5 card/cube combinations is going to be the winner!

As well as being great fun, you can make your own top trumps style game to help children memorise facts and information in the classroom. For example, to help with a history lesson you could make a game featuring key figures in the great fire of London, on the Roman Empire. You can either encourage children to come up with their own themes to reflect their interests, or you could choose one that ties in with a topic you're teaching. Here are a few themes we think would be great fun to get you started:These rules are really easy for kids to follow, even my 4-year old will enjoy playing this game from time to time. I’m going to give this a 1 on the annoyance scale – if you are annoyed by this game, I can’t help you out to much in terms of not being annoyed by kid’s games! Danger Scale

Here is the basic information you will want to know about this board game. It is a 2-player board game that comes with 25 different cubes that have pictures of different Mario characters on each side. There are actually 15 different characters represented: including my personal favorites Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Bowser, and Bowser Jr. Regardless of the theme you choose, playing a game of top trumps is fantastic for a maths class as it encourages children to sharpen their mental maths abilities and helps them to get to grips with the concept of "greater" and "lesser" values. I also really like how this game comes with its own carrying case. It makes the game easy to store, easy to setup, and keeps all the pieces nice and contained! One of the things I always do is tell people how annoying these different toys are going to be to parents. This toy is a little different because it is a board game – so it isn’t making noises or doing stuff that us parents normally find annoying.
