Their ages were never really confirmed, and dates were kept vague, which made it hard to create a timeline of events. I wanted more moments of dual obsession where the passion and love between them was so overpowering that they both felt anxious without the other near. Grant it the book didn’t start with Snow falling for Elijah right off the bat, but I literally couldn’t put it down. I would give it the extra star if Elijah could be made to understand that what he did was non consensual but my biggest issue with this story is that it doesn’t wrap up the action part of the story!

Possessive, bossy, growly and oh so dirty 🥵🥵🥵 but few times he does things that makes you question "do I find this hot? I am not a huge fan of mafia anything because as a genre anything mafia related is notorious for its degrading treatment of women as such I would expect the male characters to be deeply flawed. It was a scene where Snow (that’s literally the FMC’s name) had run off to the bathroom in pain because of her period, and Elijah (quite a tame name for a mafia boss, but ok…) came looking for her and got extremely worried about her well-being.It’s the behaviour the two precious MMCs were ferociously against and determined to put a stop to, but now Montana is glorifying it and presenting it as love? Promising that he’d move heaven and earth to get her all the comforts and treatment that she’d ever need. Overall,the mafia men in this book felt like a disgrace and degradation to the mafia community of books and should'nt be allowed to exist. I can understand why this is a DNF for a lot of people but I also think there is a certain amount of “reader beware” with mafia romance.

The fmc's sister thought it would be such a great idea,when they were literally in proper lockdown because of the fmc being shot and having a target on her back to go on a drive to meet the hero,just because the fmc was laying in bed for too long as she was having withdrawal symptoms from being away from hero🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. If she can bring about positive change in one persons life with something she has written, she will consider herself a successful author. I would also like to know if these people are such big scary mafia, why does this happen and why are there so many breaks in security and how can the girls escape security so easily? This is swiftly followed by “I’m sorry I’ve upset you but you have to understand this is your life now.There were so many times in the book that she could have told her family what was going on and I really don’t think Elijah could do anything about plus her family is supposed to be scary mafia. There is a twist that will have your jaw hanging open, and the end well the ending will leave you wanting more.

I just sincerely hope that any readers out there who enjoy this book can demarcate the good, the bad, the right and the wrong.

The author always keeps me ready for the next book, so now I can't wait for Storm's story even if it will be the last one. When by some "miracle" the tracker gets ON and they know their location only 3 men including our MMC go to the desired location without ever thinking about the possibility,it may be a trap. It’s not that I haven’t earned that title, because I have, and for the last few years I’ve been playing the wild child just so I have a role at all. She loves to travel the world, but also loves to have her head in a spicy book in her home library and office.

There’s other reviews that say he raped her but once I got to that part of the book, it wasn’t rape, her thoughts are clearly wanting it and she never once told him no. Elijah has wanted Snow for over ten years and when the opportunity comes to take her, he does, he knows she’s his he just has to show her how much he wants her.In my opinion I think this book was a little spicier than the previous books which I loved, especially when a certain toy was involved. I was actually far more invested in where this random threat was going than I normally am in a romance novel! But seeming as how it’s meant to… invoke certain feelings in the reader, it was a little (ok, extremely) hard to swallow and wrap my mind around it.
