Description

Armed with a master-crafted Frost Axe, this Legion Praetor is dripping with Fenrisian style from his Æether-rune armour – covered with intricate engravings and a trophy pelt of a hulking Fenrisian wolf – quite the prize, given how vicious those canines are. The population of Fenris is small, yet hardy and tough. Fenrisians are born warriors from cradle to grave, battling not only the planetary conditions but also each other. Land is the most precious commodity of the planet, and as a result tribes frequently clash with one another for its control. Tribal fighting escalates during the Time of Ice and Fire when new landmasses can rise from the ocean. But despite these hardships, the Fenrisians consider themselves blessed, for they have a chance to join the "Dwellers Above the Clouds", the Space Wolves. The Space Wolves carefully watch their tribal brethren, but never appear openly among them. To Fenrisians the Space Wolves are known as the Sky Warriors and have a mythical status. [2a] The Fenrisians take to the seas in simple wooden sail vessels known as Dragonships. [8a] Shoulder Pads – Glaze the Ushabti Bone with Sigismund Yellow (This used to be Lamenters Yellow, but GW Don’t make it anymore). Base the wolf symbol with Eshin Grey, highlight with Administratum Grey and wash with NuIn Oil.

Yet the Primarch Project never reached its conclusion. In a disastrous incident, the nascent superbeings were swept up by the terrible forces that dwelt within the Warp while still in their gestation capsules in the Emperor's secret laboratories and scattered across the stars through the Warp. Rather than trying to duplicate the long and arduous work through which He had created the primarchs, the Emperor instead used the raw genetic material of each primarch developed during the Primarch Project to create the Space Marine Legions. Every standard year after his disappearance, Russ' place was laid at the same feast. Every year his drinking horn was filled should he return. For seven long, painful Terran years the Space Wolves waited patiently for their lost Wolf King to return to them, but when he failed to do so, Bjorn was elected the new Great Wolf and led the Chapter on their first Great Hunt to search for Russ. Before the Great Crusade, Terra had endured thousands of standard years of isolation whilst impenetrable Warp storms seethed and howled throughout the western part of the galaxy. This dark period of history was known as the Age of Strife. Even the Emperor was trapped upon Terra by the Warp's tumult, and could do little other than secure Humanity's birth planet and prepare his armies for the reconquest to come. No one knows what happened to Leman Russ. Some say he disappeared in the Eye of Terror whilst searching for his old friend and rival, the Dark Angels Primarch Lion El'Jonson. Others say that, to this day, he walks disguised among Mankind, watching over the people of his Emperor and guarding them from the powers of Chaos. Valdrmani — The Wolf's Moon [5a]. Valdrmani is home to the Longhowl astropathic station. The domed city is the only habitable location on the radiation-soaked moon. [7a]Siege of the Fenris System (999.M41) - As the entire Fenris System is assailed by the forces of Chaos, Fenris itself is bombarded by a coalition of Space Marines led by the Dark Angels, the Space Wolves' traditional rivals. Ultimately much of the world is subjected to a massive invasion by the Heretic Astartes of the Thousand Sons and daemonic invasion led by Magnus the Red himself before the Space Wolves under Logan Grimnar triumph. Much of Fenris' tribal population is liquidated by the Ordo Malleus much as happened after the First War for Armageddon in the aftermath of their witnessing the existence of the Daemon Primarch Magnus. Using a small piece of sponge dab on Rhinox Hide to form a pattern of random dots over the armour panels. Similar to drybrushing, you want to remove almost all the paint from the sponge before dabbing on the mini. Allfather Peak - One of the most legendary peaks of the Asaheim mountain range is Allfather Peak. It is believed by some in the Chapter that the cryo-pod of the infant Leman Russ crashed into the mountain and buried itself deep beneath the peak within a system of hidden caverns. Chapter legend holds that the Glimmerfrost Crystals first began to grow in the caves beneath Allfather Peak after the Emperor was reunited with the Wolf King, a physical manifestation of the Allfather's might and power and an eternal gift to the Chapter that makes the manufacture of its Helfrost Weapons possible. Over the various Great Hunts in the millennia since, many glorious victories have been won, each hunt beginning when Russ speaks through visions into the minds of the Chapter's Rune Priests, granting his sons his wisdom from time to time and sending them on new quests. The Dresden Files: The Alphas, a gang of werewolves, obviously chose their name with this in mind. Billy and Georgia Borden fill the actual roles.

Russ' actions in bringing new worlds into Imperial Compliance met with such rampant success that his conquests led him into the far corners of the galaxy, many light years from the Segmentum Solar. The Space Wolves were not the only Space Marine Legion to be reconciled with their genetic forebear. Gradually, all twenty Primarchs were reunited with the Emperor and went on to lead their own Legion of Space Marines. Many years passed, and thousands of human-settled worlds were brought into the Imperium, but eventually the Golden Age drew to its inevitable end. In an act that would scar the galaxy forever, Russ's brother Primarch Horus, the Warmaster of the Great Crusade and the progenitor of the Luna Wolves Legion as well as the most favoured son of the Emperor, turned from the light and embraced the Ruinous Powers to fulfill his dark ambition of replacing his father upon the throne of Terra. This great schism later known as the Horus Heresy would nearly rend the Imperium apart. He viewed his role as unquestionably carrying out the punishments requited by the Master of Mankind. Among the forces of Chaos he was known as "the Brawler."For the tail, it’s stripes of the same colours.
