He tells a story of his younger days when he felt an evil presence in a poster of two sunflowers on the wall in a flat he shared with a friend. If I’m absent-minded or don’t fit in, it’s almost expected of me now, but I couldn’t get away with that in a real job.

Clearly funny and displaying intelligence (of "some kind") Limmy also comes across here as a sensitive and thoughtful man.A lot of us go through life eminently unsure of what we’re doing; we feel lost and lonely in our lostness. This is a refreshing read/listen in that way - Almost every other book with mental health as a cornerstone would try and offer some kind of help or explanation (nothing wrong with that at all, mind you) but in this Limmy just exposes it for the strange and maddening experience it can be and how it has defined certain moments or periods in his life. He has long been candid about his struggles with mental health, and spoken at length in interviews of overcoming alcoholism while in his 20s.

If I can think of something funny in there, that’s a good start – I’ll stick with it and see what happens. it's definitely a very interesting read and I certainly recommend the audiobook version of not just this book but all of his previous books - It always adds a extra level of depth to hear him speak the words, and he's brilliant at it. The hysterical, shocking and incredibly intimate memoir from one of the most original and unique comedians alive today.I somehow missed his podcasts but was excited and delighted to see his talents being appreciated by the big wigs when he got his own tv show Limmy's Show. Read more about the condition Very Good: A book that has been read and does not look new, but is in excellent condition. I haven't listened to anything else for the last few days, and it's the best thing I've listened to in ages. For three series between 2010 and 2013, it doled up a rapid-fire succession of set-ups and characters united by a dark, disorientating, stoned-at-three-in-the morning tone. The basic criteria for a good autobiography are that the author has a story to tell and the knack for telling it.
