Tyre inflation kits combine a bottle of puncture-sealing adhesive gel with a compressor. You plug the bottle of mousse into the compressor which in turn plugs into the cigarette lighter or 12-volt outlet. This then pumps air and the gel into the tyre through the valve. As the air is pumped in it forces the gel to the outside of the tyre where it fills the hole that’s letting the air out. The whole process should take about 10 minutes. At least that’s the theory. Just FYI, the Continental Mobility kit that comes with the car states this warning about using the tire sealant: Available starting in May: ContiMobilityKit as a retrofit solution plus replacement products in OE quality We’re called out to an awful lot of punctures so how effective are these mobility kits? What is a mobility kit? However, our new Acura was shipped with the Mobility kit only Acura replaced their goo with Acura Sealant, and it says this on the label:
