The strap is a bit too sturdy - it is two layers of canvas so rather stiff and as others have said, the leather reinforcing around the holes make it even more stiff. It has a screw back so if you want to save money and change the battery yourself, all you need is is a good quality tool and you can take the back off without risk of causing damage. I suffer from pain in the wrist and needed a watch that was not too large, had a soft strap and was light in weight. With this one, it’s so lightweight and comfortable that I forget it’s on my wrist; a great feeling that I rarely get.
