Description

Aside from its fire colour, the Nebula Capsule is a mid-range portable projector that kind of resembles an Ultimate Ears speaker. Sitting at about the size of a can of Coke, it comes built-in with a 360-degree speaker, which is ideal for large gatherings. With its advanced IntelliBright algorithms, you’ll be able to enjoy a remarkably bright and clear picture up to 100-inches big. There’s a large variety of portable projectors available, with some that are more suitable depending on what you’re planning on using them for. These include gaming projectors, camping projectors and even projectors that are suitable for young children to use. The dual harman kardon speakers do a great job giving you a nice full rich sound in a mid size room and the projector has a bluetooth mode in which the projector screen turns off and the fans go silent and you can play music/podcasts etc from your devices which works fantastically Astro has flat sides so, you can sit the projector on its side and base, allowing to use Astro without the need of a tripod. A 1/4-inch female thread has been bored right in the centre of the rubber ring base to mount the Astro projector on a tripod. The perforations you see on the sides of the projector are the ventilation outlet and inlet. The speaker grille is on the bottom, housing a single 3W speaker; hence the Astro projector has a down firing speaker. The driver delivers surprisingly good audio dynamics and loud volume too. If you require more power though, you can always connect Astro to a external bluetooth speaker such as the Soundcore Flare Plus

Auto focus works great everytime and hardly needs to be messed around with as well as the auto keystone correction I do like the remote control on the phone app but it takes some getting used to, but easy enough to navigate and you don’t have to worry about forgetting the remote. The resolution is lowish at 854x480, but for a campervan setup where it is unlikely you will have the distance to get a picture above 50 inches, this is not a problem, because at that size it looks perfectly clear and bright. If the cost of living has you missing out on watching movies in the cinema or stopping you from going all out with building your own home theatre, we have the next best thing. A portable projector is a piece of entertainment tech that you didn’t know you needed in your life. Built on android tv 9.0 so supports Google apps via play store and also can chromecast using your phone/tablet plus also has full google assistant voice control feature The remote has 18 buttons, including directional buttons for navigating through menus and moving the mouse cursor, which is activated via the mouse button on the remote. The mouse function works, although it's not an "air mouse" remote that you can waive around like a magic wand. Aside from the physical remote, you can also use the Nebula connect mobile app to control Astro. Battery lasts 3.5 hours on battery saver mode or 2 hours on standard mode broghtness does drop slightly when in battery saver mode but not by much Car Our revheads bring you all you need to know on the coolest electric vehicles and sports cars available on the market.

The perfect choice for the little ones, this Astro portable projector is fitted with eye guard tech that will protect the eyes of the most inquisitive of children from the projector’s bright light. If anyone gets too close to its internal bulb, it will switch itself off automatically. However, keep in mind that it does have a lower resolution so it may not have the crystal clear quality that you might appreciate, though the little ones probably won’t notice. The easiest way to measure a mini projector’s brightness is by taking a look at its lumens. Ideally, you’ll want one between the 2,000 to 4,000 range so it’s more visible when cast against a projection screen or wall. Image quality Good image quality is dependent on the brightness of your projector, but a second thing to take into consideration is the projector’s advertised resolution. Very few portable projectors offer anything less than 720p, but most now offer 1080p (also known as full HD). As a rule of thumb, the higher the resolution, the more pixels it’ll depict and therefore the better picture you’ll enjoy. Features

PC & Peripheral All you need to know on the latest PC releases and whether they’re worth their dime. You really do need a dark setting to get a bright picture though. Trying this in daylight or with curtains drawn in the daytime, will definitely be affected by ambient light coming into the van, so don't expect the 100 ANSI lumen LED buld to give you a brilliant picture in anything less than darkness. The charger has a 5V/2A (10W) output rating, allowing you to re-charge Astro's internal 3250 mAh (3.63V) li-polymer battery in 2 hours. There is no fast charging support. Provided that volume is set at 55%, you can expect to get 2.5 hours of viewing runtime in Standard Mode, 1.5 hours in Battery Mode and up to 14 hours in Bluetooth Speaker Mode. Astro's maximum brightness is 100 ansi lumen, the same as the original Capsuleprojector. In contrast, the Nebular Mars 2 Pro is capable of 500 ansi lumens. For such an expensive speaker, you might be concerned that it could be easily damaged but thankfully it’s built from aluminium, which ensures better protection against bumps and accidental drops.

If you faced any damages, you should inform our CS or support team immediately or within a maximum of 24 hours from the delivery time. Otherwise, we will consider that you received your item with no issues.

That doesn’t mean you’ll have a poor experience using a mini projector, in fact, most do a great job at creating the ultimate movie night experience. But if you want something that’s more reminiscent of a cinema experience, you’ll have to go to the trouble of investing a lot more money into a dedicated theatre room. If you are planning to go bigger, then expect a more pixellated effect and lower brightness. This thing is not a 240 volt 3000 ANSI lumen home projectore. The Nebula Astro projector has a cute cube shape, which is complemented by a quirky monoeye plasticbrow ridge surrounding the led lens and motion sensor for the Eye Guard feature. The motion sensor used is a Time-of-Flight (TOF) infrared light sensor, which is the same type used for 3D imaging and augmented reality. The TOF sensor works just like an IR proximity sensor, beaming light to detect objects in its path and works well turning off the light projection almost immediately. Misplaced the remote? Don’t worry, as you can control Astro right from your phone via the Nebula Connect app. Play and pause movies, browse menus, and more with a simple swipe of your finger.

The picture quality is absolutely stunning and the sound from the unit itself is also pretty decent, considering its small size. Although, I tend to link mine to a JBL Bluetooth speaker, which works a treat and produces a much better sound and adds atmosphere to a movie. The picture size will depend on how far away you set the projector from your screen, but the options are very good on how you stand or mount it. There is a tripod threaded screw port to connect this up to a tripod if you want, or you could mount it to the ceiling and set the picture to flip or reverse etc, depending on your setup. Whilst the projector is charging up using the mini usb port and lead provided, you can still run an hdmi lead to it from a portable dvd player, or stream movies to it via your iphone for services like Youtube. This portable projector comes with a 65watt usb c pd charger that can be used to power other devices that support usb c chargingThe projector is very compact in size. It really is like a can of soda pop, and the 360 degree built in 5 watt speaker is powerful enough to be heard clearly in a smallish setting. There isnt much dynamic range of course, or heavy bass response, but it certainly isn't a feeble tinny transistor radio sound. I had hunted for ages trying to find a projector for my campervan that would work on a power supply like 12 volt cigarette lighter or 5 volt usb charger, and this one finally fits the bill. Camera Here you’ll find expert opinions on the latest cameras from Canon, Nikon, Sony and plenty more. The Nebula Astro projector also supports different projection modes so, you could attach it onto a ceiling. You can create a larger or smaller image size by moving Astro closer or further from the projection surface. The focus of the image is adjusted manually by twisting the lens in and out via a wheel dial that works similarly to an old school overhead projector. The focus ring works well, although it isn't as easy to get a sharp image nor as convenient as the motorized auto-focus inside the Mars 2 Pro projector. There are two connectivity ports on the rear of Astro, namely a USB-C port (charging only) and a HDMI port that is compatible with any HDMI enabled device such as video games console, laptop, iPhone (via a Lightning to HDMI adapter) or Android phone via a C-HDMI adapter (not included). The HDMI port uses the HDMI 1.4 version; hence it supports up to 1080p (60Hz) input.
