Our bins hold 18-24 bottles of wine or Champagne or 2-3 cases of lager when filled with ice and water. These cookies help provide information on metrics the number of visitors, bounce rate, traffic source, etc. All the elements of this sophisticated liquid have been aged for more than a decade, developing hints of chocolate and baked apple, and aromas of spices and liquorice.

This may affect factors including the product style and allergen information, and we would advise that you always check the label and not solely rely on the information presented here. The palate is velvety smooth, thanks to its harmonious blend of 20 cognacs aged for a minimum of 4 years, from grapes grown in the Grande Champagne and the Petite Champagne, the 2 finest crus in the Cognac region. There are some very serious Cognacs from this house, and the pedigree is evident in 'H by Hine' too, having been well blended from some special parcels from the two Champagnes, Cognac's best sub-regions.Expressive yet discreet, its notes of iris, fresh apricot, acacia and white pepper chime with its sprightly and joyful demeanour. Hine’s philosophy is to create the highest quality Cognacs, respecting the Maison’s heritage and terroir focussing on fruity and floral characteristics. The driver will input your year of birth into their device and may then require an ID check to complete the age verification process.

Thomas Hine, from Dorset, was something of an adventurer who found himself in southwest France during the French Revolution at the end of the 18th century. This is an exuberant cognac with a floral nose and a sweet fruity flavour - balanced out with light spicy notes. Strikingly smooth to taste and beautiful to behold in its iconic Bristol-blue glass bottle, this original, multi-award-winning 6 O’clock Gin was born in 2010, perfected from an old family gin recipe. Each and every one of them is a liquid snapshot of a particular year, echoing the elaboration of fine wines and champagnes. They prefer to set their own, higher standards so that their cognacs are only released when they have reached maturity. It may not be reproduced in any way whatsoever without the prior consent of Waitrose Limited nor without due acknowledgement. Cognac Hine Rare VSOP Cognac (40% ABV) is created from 25 eaux-de-vie aged in the Hine cellars and expertly blended. Serving suggestions include neat and frozen with your sashimi, or topped up with tonic - not your average Cognac then.

In the event of any safety concerns or for any other information about a product please carefully read any instructions provided on the label or packaging and contact the manufacturer. Their expertise ensures that the original, delicate flavour from the grapes persists through the distilling, ageing and blending process. Hine's philosophy of creating the highest quality Cognacs respects the Maison’s heritage and terroir and they have been the sole official supplier of Cognac to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II since 1962.

It has floral notes of jasmine, acacia, vanilla, oak and fruit on the nose while the delicate palate is mellow, smooth and very well-balanced. After six generations, Bernard Hine is now guardian of his family’s ethos: a great cognac is above all a great white wine.
