i loooved reading about the backstory, seeing the creator’s thoughts and struggles, the first deckers as well as glimpses of the lives of bystanders or workers for death cast. It’s the night before Death-Cast goes live, and there’s one question on everyone’s mind: Can Death-Cast actually predict death, or is it an elaborate hoax? Told with acclaimed author Adam Silvera's signature bittersweet touch, this story celebrates the lasting impact that people have on each other and proves that life is always worth living to the fullest. The original was much better, the writing was better and the storyline itself, i cried every page at the original. I literally guessed everything that was going to happen and I was still heartbroken and shocked when it actually did.

I know not everyone is crazy about the inclusion of these types of tiny slivers of life, but I loved them and the way it demonstrated the interconnections in general.I kinda feel like something switched with the titles because the reviews talk both about this book and about the other book, so hopefully I've properly marked the one I read. Themes of friendship, love, loss, and fate combine in this novel that should be read with a box of tissues close at hand.

And though there were some pretty dark elements and hard-to-get-through-moments, this is still ultimately a love story with a lot of heart. I'm not sure why it took me so long to read this book from Adam Silvera, given I enjoyed a few of his other ones.
