I'm using mac, hence the connection here being EQMAC, on Win it'd be EQMOD, and linux likely INDI. Note at this time, I'm using KStars on OS-X, and also updating my Raspberry-Pi mini computer to run the setup via the Astroberry OS, but all replies on SGL I'd use mac for, hence this screenshot and other detailing) The SVBONY SV305 is a new, low cost camera for Lunar, Planetary and brighter deep sky objects imaging. SV205C is a primary planetary camera, ideal for photographing the Moon, Jupiter, Saturn and binary stars. It is also suitable for observing some bright deep space objects. The cable of SV205 is USB 3.0, the interface is large, and it cannot be inserted into the hole of SV105.

if you tried upside 3 methods, all don’t work. Maybe the usb cable has problem. Try to use another USB cable. If your SV205 only work with a Windows computer, then you don't need to upgrade it. SV205 could work with Windows computer normally. Q4:When using sv105/205, what if the USB interface of the cable does not match the interface of the imaging device (mobile phone)? A4:You can connect to your mobile phone by purchasing an appropriate OTG adapter cable. The camera comes with built-in UV IR cut filter. And it is screw on inside the camera nose. which reach a high transmittance of more than 96% in the visible light I think it might be somewhat interesting as a guide camera. I don't guide, however, so it doesn't interest me in that regard.

How to Upgrade the SV205 camera with the Firmware Tool ?

This setup is great for my visual work and works really well as there is only one (power) cable extending more than 10cm from the mount head! color issue on the original version SV205C camera, we cut the new one out of some pixels, the parameter will be 7.05MP with 3264x2160, pixel size is adjusted

The other thing that's a bit tough to say, is that if you are looking to do deep sky imaging (ie. nebulae, galaxies, etc.), then you are really going to want a very different telescope and mount. Your telescope is photographically slow at F/12, and its focal length is going to make it very unforgiving. Also, there are two issues with the mount: First, it's not going to be steady enough to do long exposures. And second, it's not an equatorial mount. As such, you are going to be limited to 5 to 10 second exposures before field rotation becomes a problem.

If you have (or know someone with) a 3D printer, you may be able to design and print an adapter. Small pitch threads are going to be tough for most printers, but the C thread is possible (I've done it before) and it may be enough to have a correctly sized non-threaded adapter that pushes snugly into the front 28.5mm aperture... Q9: what if the frame rate is slow when the camera is connected to the computer? A9: since the frame rate is low in YUY2 mode (original image mode), try to select MJPG format (compressed format) in the software. Q10: What is the equivalent focal length of an eyepiece for the sv105/205/305 camera? A10: All astronomical cameras are light-sensitive chips, which only play the role of imaging and shooting. They are not comparable with eyepieces. The configuration of desktop computer is not less than Intel 4 generation i5, and the memory is not less than 4G. Stellarium doesn't really guide. It relies on the mount to talk to the camera (ST4) port or the use of an external, such as PHD2 to talk to the camera and mount through drivers. Thanks @JonCarleton, am i understanding correctly.... USB cable from Guide camera to laptop running PHD2, USB cable from Laptop to mount ? but which port on which part of the mount, I have an EQM-35 PRO with Handset and separate module that the handset plugs into.
